This is an interesting take on a Darjeeling. The smokey smell is very much resembles a Green Gunpowder tea. You still get that slight muscatel flavor mixed in with a wood smoke & slightly floral taste. I do not recommend steeping this one a second time. The flavor notes change drastically, & not for the better.
Darjeeling Wood Smoke OP Black Tea
The unusual and subtle smoky undertones of this Darjeeling are derived from storing the tea in wooden chests after its initial processing. Especially satisfying with desserts as the slight smokiness balances sweetness.
A second infusion of this tea reveals more facets of its character. A distinctive Darjeeling with its flowery bouquet and appealing mellowness. Golden liquor in the cup.
