From Stash Tea

Slightly fuller white tea with the subtle characteristics of a fine oolong tea. Light body with no astringency. Excellent.

This is my first white tea and I must say that I am not sure if I like it. It smells wonderful, but being used to much stronger teas it is kind of weak for me.

I am glad that I only purchased a sample, so that I am not stuck with a bunch of tea that I won’t drink. Oh well, maybe my son will like it :)

Marzipan

I am sending you some Rivertea Mulberry white, it is really loved on here. If you don’t like that one you might not be a white tea person. Or, maybe wait a while and see if your tea preferences change after a few months.

I think I will wait….I did not like pu-reh when I first tried it, but now it’s my favorite. :)

Marzipan

I like whites if they have a nice flavor, like melon or the mulberry. Plain doesn’t taste like much to me though.

hippiechick 42

This one was pretty plain, maybe that’s the problem.

I agree with Marzipan. Plain whites just don’t do it for me, they taste a bit watery. Do you enjoy jasmine? I’m fond of a nice jasmine silver needle.

hippiechick 42

Cookies,
I adore Jasmine! Is there any particular one that you recommend?

I have a one that I buy in bulk from Wegmans. Want me to send you some?

hippiechick 42

Seriously? That is so generous of you. That would be wonderful! I don’t have a lot so far, but would be happy to send you something in return or even reimburse you for it.

No worries. Tea is light and I’m usually at the post office every Friday anyway so it’s no trouble. Just PM me your address.

Resteep, 3 min 190F. Sweet rose or lilac fragrance. Flavor leaning more toward lavendar, smooth as silk on my taste buds. Such gorgeous things, often unexpected, a white tea can have in its bag of tricks!
