This one pack a punch. Reminds me of coffee. It is really strong and over steeping will cause bitterness to show up. Started at 5 mins and worked my way down to 3 mins in an 8 oz cup. I think I like it at 3 min best. I added one cube of sugar but I found that if I don’t stir the tea the sugar sits at the bottom. =/ Then I get a punch of sugar tea at the bottom of the cup.
I was talking to a friend about this tea and said the next time I’m adding some milk in this.
Picked up this tea from WTE June 2010. It is listed in Jane’s Old Tea Companion book but not the New Tea Companion Book.

Clear amber hue, brews up strong in the cup as the leaves unfurl. Clean on the palate, rich, astringent, hearty. Excellent alone, or with the addition of sugar. Can stand up to the addition of milk. Can become bitter if over-brewed.
