A little bitter today, but I think I added too much leaf. I haven’t quite figured out how much to measure into the T-sac for my all of my usual teas – I need to get new infusers! Half an infuser-full was always just right.
Backlogging from yesterday.
I tried this with 1 tsp cacao nibs. The cacao nibs definitely added something, but it wasn’t as chocolaty as I had hoped. It had a full-bodied bitterness and a very subtle sweetness. I added milk and sugar to the second steep, which was a bit more of the dessert tea I was going for. The chocolate flavor was subtle, but I’m going to try it again sometime, maybe with rooibos or Ceylon black tea.
I finally replenished my supply of this. Welcome back, old friend!
This is becoming a favorite. It is great for breakfast – full-bodied, and I love the hint of bergamot.
This has been my go-to breakfast tea for a while. It is great on its own or with milk. I’m also enjoying a 2nd steep in the afternoon/evening – sometimes I’ll add a little vanilla and sugar to make it more dessert-like.
