A connoisseur tea born of an appreciation for a smoky palate, our small batch blend of malty China Yunnan, slowly (12 hour maturation) hand-smoked with sweet Alderwood, will warm your bones on a cold and rainy night. Prized by leading chefs of the world for infusing creams and sauces – with full smooth, peat-smoke and earthy character.

First blended for the Canadian Chefs competing in Bocuse d’Or, the Master Blender for black tea personally supervises the slow smoking process in our Vancouver blending centre. Alderwood is the dominant note but often supplemented with local cherrywood and when available, oak broken down from whisky casks.

A hallmark tea pioneered in Canada, seen as a groundbreaking innovation in smoked infused tea tradition. Collectible and one of the rare teas (like Pu-Erh) that can age, with careful control of humidity and low constant temperature (15 Celcius).
