Green oolongs are not my favorite, but this was included as a sample in my last order. As much as I prefer darker oolongs this is one that I could drink now and then for a change. It’s a nice light oolong, beautiful pale yellow. It’s not too grassy or veggy ish for my tastes. It has some floral tones with out being overly so.
I really like everything I’ve tried from Tao Tea Leaf.

Oh buttered sweet vegetables how good you are. Okay this is by no means my favorite oolong but it was very nice. As I now know Baozhong/Pouchong is between oolong and green tea and the taste of the tea definitely reflects that. Resteeped well. Taste on the light side.
Met the owner at the Toronto Tea Festival and he and his employees were amazing. Their stand was definitely the best there and they had ~10 teas set up.

If you are Canadian like me, you know it’s no fun to shop for tea from our dear American neighbors at the moment. Our dollar is sinking and the exchange is terrible.

I have turned to Tao Tea Leaf recently, they are based in Ontario. My love has grown so much for this company. They offer exceptional quality and you can find many different superior oolongs.

This one is no exception. It’s exquisite and sophisticated.

Baozhong is very lightly oxidized. It tastes like a breathe of fresh air.

Very floral, think lilac.

It’s also as buttery and creamy as can be, with a sweet aftertaste.

I could drink this every day that’s how much I like it. And I might just do that :-)

Breathtaking pictures!!
The tea sounds really fantastic, too. Buttery lilac… mmm!

I hear you on the exchange rates! I’ll have to check this company out. :)

Thank you DeliriumFrogs, the tea is fantastic indeed!!

Scribbles, thank you :-)

Fjellrev….sigh yes, damn exchange! You can’t go wrong with Toa. Been ordering also from the wonderful Camellia Sinensis in Montreal.
