Green Tea Latte

I am pleasantly surprised. (I’m sure the matcha purists will be horrified!)

The first couple sips I definitely got a bit of the grassy/raw matcha flavor (I think some powder was hiding in the foam). It was also way too hot. As it cools and I get deeper into the cup I am getting a lot of honey sweetness. Must be in the mix as I did not add anything. The mix of matcha (or whatever they use) and honey and frothed milk is a nice combo. It’s not overly heavy or sweet, it feels somewhat healthy compared to a whipped cream and chocolate covered mocha or similar.

I don’t go to starbucks but once or twice a year, but next time I find myself there I will get this or try another of their tea lattes.

Love at first taste! Never tasted matcha before, but now I want more. Had a medium size one tonight with no sugar syrup. Very tasty and very green. Smelled wheatgrassy to me, but tasted heavenly- sweet on it’s own no need for that syrup:) Will go back for this!

This is my go to drink at Starbucks. I enjoy it either hot or iced, usually with non fat milk.

Not bad. I mixed equal parts milk and this delicious concoction. It’s good, but is it even tea? Is it even healthy? Am I drinking real matcha? I’m gonna mix this with vanilla ice cream tomorrow.

I work at *bux so it kicks to get these for free since matcha costs AN ARM to buy. They can taste really good if you make it right. The downside is that the matcha is premixed with sugar.
-Ask for it with no classic syrup
-Ask for xtra matcha powder scoops (it’s no xtra charge)
-It’s better with soy (extra .60 cents), but it is much sweeter.

I’ve had the Tazo Green Tea latte mix which you buy in a tetra pack. Drink warm with milk and it’s quite good

Rocking an venti iced no classic green tea latte with an extra scoop of matcha powder at this very moment. :) A summer favorite!
