Huge fan always. Seems to taste better prepared with lowfat (1%) milk. Less water, please. Very flavorful drink, all the time. A spicy treat for the tongue. Be sure to try it in soy as well as with Starbucks flavorings.

Tried this with nonfat milk at Starbucks today while picking up some coffee beans (sacrilege? but I still like coffee first thing in the morning ;-)). A very tasty, soothing, comfort drink. I picked up mostly the spices and creaminess of the hot milk on a first tasting, but will try a more discerning tasting next time now that I have a baseline. In any case, it’s enough to make me want to put milk in my teabag version at home.

Had to run to the store for something on the way to work this morning and there was a Starbucks next door, so I decided to try AmazonV’s “no water” suggestion. Yum. The more I have this the more I like it. Nice blend of spices that takes the milk just right. It’s the same comforting feeling as drinking hot cocoa. It isn’t in the same league of chewy and nommy as the Samovar, but on the other hand one can’t just run into the (every) corner Starbucks and get the Samovar Masala Chai. Life is full of such trade offs. Bumping the rating a hair.

Today I had to go to Toys R S to get a present for a birthday party this afternoon that the almost 6 year old is now well enough to attend thanks to the miracle of antibiotics. I got there before it opened, so I wandered into the adjacent Starbucks armed with my increasingly detailed order. This time I got nonfat, no water, make it from leaves not concentrate.

There is definitely a difference between the leaves and the concentrate. Made with the leaves, the flavor was much spicier. The pepper was really, really pronounced, too. It did taste much more like it does when I make it at home, only creamier.

Surprisingly I’m not sure which way I like it better. It seems obvious I should say with the leaves rather than the concentrate, but the concentrate had a much more blended taste while the leaves were much starker.

I think this decision will have to be case by case and will depend largely on my mood at the time.

It’s been FOREVER since I had one of these, but with the snow coming down, I decided to go for it. Yum! I know it’s not real chai (I swear, I am pretty sure I saw them squirt syrup then hot water before adding the soymilk… no tea in the mix that I witnessed), but it’s real delicious! :)

Had this at Starbucks today, and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. A little too cinammon-y for me (I like my chai’s more spicy), but overall an enjoyable cup.

Had a coupon for a free drink at Starbucks so I opted for this. I do like the Tazo chai tea bags with milk, but this is too sweet for my liking. It does have strong cardamom and pepper with cinnamon, which I like. I really need to find some loose leaf chai to try, there are so many options out there, where does one start?

Hubby and I had these while shopping at our local Target. I tried mine with no water, and it was quite creamy. I think it’s much more spicy when it has water added. I think I’ll keep drinking it that way. Or just keep drinking my full leaf bags at home with a splash of cream and a packet of splenda. I haven’t found a loose chai blend I like better than their full leaf yet. I’ve tried a few, just haven’t tried Rishi or Samovar’s yet.

Picked up one of these iced because of Starbucks’ free coffee giveaway. Normally I don’t spend so much money on something I could probably make at home, but I love chai and was having a craving. The tea is very strong, even with the milk. It was gone in minutes.

I’m so surprised that I like chai as much as I do — the spices do NOT appeal to me in any other kind of dish or drink, but somehow, chai makes it work. And I loooove this particular chai latte — it’s probably my favorite of all the chai I’ve tried. It’s warm and soothing and pretty much what I think heaven probably tastes like. LOL

Just about the only thing I get at Starbucks! I am a soymilk drinker and I find this is one of the better soy chai lattés out there.

So good from Starbucks, can’t really go wrong. Warming on a cold day.

This was pretty good. I wasn’t just over the top about it. I did like it, I might get it again, but I don’t really just crave it. Not sure about preparation details since I ordered it at Starbucks.

I was so happy to order the summer version of one of my favorite drinks. You won’t be disappointed if you get the frappuccino tazo chai tea latte at Starbucks.

This tea is pretty well rounded for a CONCENTRATE. The one good thing of concentrated beverages is that it may be prepared as strong, or as weak to one’s taste. However, it lacks the freshness of the tea leaves.

Enjoying a Tazo Chai Tea Latte while waiting in line for ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in 3D. It’s got a very nice kick of spice that’s warming me up quite well on a cold & wet evening. More details to come after the movie!

Quite honestly I’m amazed I like this chai because I absolutely can not stand anise. I love that they serve an organic chai. I always order my tall chai latte w/ no water and 2 chai bags. I let the latte steep and cool for 5 mins before drinking but do not remove the tea bags. For those that enjoy dirty chai lattes I suggest 2 shots for a tall. For those that enjoy flavored chai or dirty chai lattes, I suggest 2 pumps (each) vanilla, mocha, white mocha, and/or caramel. I personally like 2 of all of the above.

Funny story. Mom and I went out for dinner w/ my grandparents and I wanted to treat my mom to coffee after. It’s a bit of a hastle getting my chair in and out just for a quick trip and mom had things to do yet tonight so I just gave my order written on a piece of paper (you’ll see why in a bit) for her to run and get the drinks. I ordered a tall double pump mocha, double pump white mocha, double pump caramel, double pump SF vanilla, double pump iced dirty chai Americano w/ whip and mocha and caramel drizzle. The poor barista just kinda chuckles and says “I think we’ve made this before” and dubbed it “the works iced Americano”. It’s bad when you’re known by your drink and you’re not even the one ordering it! This really is not as good as it could be. I wish the chai concentrate itself was better. It’s kinda like ordering a fat free sugar free brownie instead of the full fat and sugar version lol.

This is my weekly Friday treat! I like mine with nonfat milk.

Finally tried this with no water added, and sadly I wasn’t impressed. The flavour didn’t seem to be any stronger and there were virtually no spices to speak of. I think I’ll go back to ordering it the “usual” way next time, with water, since it probably has more calories without and didn’t taste any better.

I live for Fridays when I can have my weekly chai! I wish they’d invent a no-calorie version so I could have it every day. I tried this with the pumpkin spice flavour once and was not a fan but I’m curious about how some of the other flavours would work with it!

I haven’t been letting myself get chai every Friday because I’m trying to save some money (and calories) lately, but I gave in today. Not surprisingly, the one I got today tastes pretty amazing since it’s been a few weeks since I had one! Happy Friday!

I haven’t been having this every Friday like usual since I’m trying to watch my calories a bit better lately (and save money). I also wish I liked Caribou Coffee’s chai latte better (because honestly, I’d rather give them my money vs. Starbucks), but I don’t. Today’s Tazo chai latte tasted pretty phenomenal, I have to say. Absence does make the heart grow fonder in this case!

The past two hot chai lattes that I’ve gotten at Starbucks have tasted amazing. I’m not sure what they’ve been doing differently, but two big thumbs up from me!

FRIDAY. <3

Okay, it’s been freezing here and I just wanted my usual Friday comfort drink so I wasn’t brave enough to try the teabag version of this instead of my usual concentrate version. It’s only noon, but this drink was definitely the highlight of my day!

FRIDAY CHAI. My favourite time of the week! This one tasted particularly good… the Starbucks I got it at is pretty insane, customer volume-wise, so I usually avoid going there, but considering that the last three I got there all tasted pretty amazing (and were piping hot), I might have to make that my regular location for chai!

Perfection.

Haven’t had this in a while as I’ve been going to Caribou Coffee instead of Starbucks lately (I don’t like their chai blend nearly as much though), and it tasted fantastic today. Two huge thumbs up!

It’s an early Friday for me this week, since I work for a Swiss-owned company and we get Good Friday off (which is so weird, but I’ll take it)!

So much better with soy milk! I just wish they had nonfat soy milk so I didn’t have the extra calories too.

Extra spicy today (must be they used less water)—perfect!

The usual!

TGIF!

I really needed this today~!

Another Friday, another chai!

I would drink these all the time if it weren’t for the calories. Thank goodness for Fridays!

Yay, Friday!
