From Tazo

You don’t have to take up residency in a monastery to benefit from our rejuvenating green tea blend infused with crisp notes of spearmint, lemongrass, and lemon verbena. But we highly recommend trekking to a mountaintop sanctuary at least once—the views are breathtaking.

Backlogging for the conference I attended last week. They had a sampler box of most of the Tazo teas, and I tried a few of them. I remember when I first started drinking tea, I liked this one. This time it tastes a bit bland, almost like the tea was a bit old. It wasn’t awful, but I think loose leaf tea from places that keep their stock fresh has ruined me for most conventional bagged teas.

Smells wonderful. Upon tasting you’re hit with a strong bitter type taste followed by a more pleasant one. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this yet. It is however, relaxing.

Zen by Tazo was one of my favorite teas last spring. For me, it’s perfect for spring or summer as it’s refreshing and light.

I like this tea, but have to agree that the mint and lemongrass overwhelm the green tea. Fortunately for me, I enjoy mint and lemongrass. This tea is a good option when I’m in the mood for those flavors but need some caffeine.

Dry tea bag smells like Wrigley’s spearmint gum but without the sweetness.

Once steeped the mint doesn’t smell as strong. I don’t smell the lemongrass but I can smell a little bit of the lemon verbena.

It’s yummy! Minty, green tea-y.. it’s good :)

Definitely used to be one my favorite newbie teas. It’s got a nice light flavor that lends itself well to the winter (the mint is warming, the lemon soothing.) I think it’s one of the higher quality bags out there, for sure. Nice with a little honey if you have a sore throat!

This is a fairly tasty little tea. I think the flavors work well together. Great tea to drink at work.

From a person who doesn’t really care much for green tea, this Zen is pretty alright. I prefer flavored green teas and drink em’ for the health benefit. But I probably drink 6 cups of black tea to each green one.

Bought this at a snack cart out of sheer desperation for a hot drink today. Wasn’t bad, but it’s been so long since I’ve had bagged tea… it just doesn’t compare.
