I like this one brewed strong with milk and sweetener. It’s a good breakfast tea. I like the depth of it, and it also has a lighter topnote/aftertaste that is pleasant.

Definitely wakes you up, but maybe not for the right reasons! I usually love black teas, even when there’s some bitterness, but there doesn’t seem to be too much to this flavor other than the bitterness. The tea has a nice smell to it that doesn’t come through in the actual taste, and the aftertaste is a bit rough.
At least it’s caffeinated so I’ll be awake for my classes…
Decent breakfast-type tea. One of the better bagged teas offered in ubiquitous chain coffee shops.
I drink this relatively often because it’s the tea carried by Starbucks. It fills the need, but I don’t think I’d ever buy a box of it.
This tea is great, One of the first teas I bought when I gave up pop. Tazo tea has never failed to impress me. I own many. Tea is great served hot, and even better served cold with cranberry juice to give it an extra bite.
Delicious! I ran out of earl grey and decided to try this instead. Good choice! mmmm a nice strong black tea. yum!
Backlogging for the conference I attended last week. They had a sampler box of most of the Tazo teas, and I tried a few of them. This one wasn’t so bad for a bagged tea. It was definitely better than the awful stuff my hotel had at the breakfast bar. Still, it tasted pretty much like bagged tea. Nothing spectacular.
The tea itself is very bland except for the incredible bitterness. Yet another tea I will drown with soy milk and hunny. Blah
Had my first cup of this after having my earl grey for the morning. My mom bought it who is normally a coffee drinker so i figured it would be a coffe like strong black tea. I usually love a some what bitter tea. But the aftertaste of this one wasnt my favorite. I did get a slight taste of the cherry it claims to have which isnt bad but only after i added a splash of milk and honey did i get the presence of a cherry undertone. All in all not a horrible black tea if your in need of a day starter or pick me up. But the flavor just didnt quite do it for me. and the aftertaste leaves me wanting another cup of something else to cleanse my palate.
This tea was good. Not something I would drink all the time. Better with milk than plain.
Awake is like the Two-Buck Chuck of tea. Sure, it’s a staple in many households, but it isn’t all that special. You can buy a lot of of for a relatively low price and it gets the job done, caffeine-wise. There was still bitterness and acidity that lingered throughout the brew. It’s better than Lipton, but by no means is it a “great” alternative. We’d compare it to being some sort of middle-man: a great tea mixed with water from a dish rag.

Bitter and boring. More invigorating than a cup of Tetley, but tastes worse. Meh.
A bit strong and bitter but I need the caffeine.
This tea seems to get a lot of mixed reviews. While I don’t think it is particularly great, it has served me well through many tiring mornings. So I’m giving it a little bit of love :)
Add Cinnamon Dolce (4 pumps) to a Venti @Star$… Superb.
I got a box of this as a gift and oh god it’s so terrible. I can barely manage to finish a cup in one go. I find it makes a decent base for chai if you have loose spices, but on its own, it’s much too harsh and bitter and just terrible. I finally finished the last cup of it today but I plan on never, ever touching this again. When I drank it today, I immediately realized why I’d tried to avoid it for so long. It tasted like the water was just too metallic— there is really not much of the characteristic “black tea” taste here, at all.
I did find it was a little better lukewarm than hot, but that’s not a sign of good tea, to me. This might make a decent iced but I don’t care to find out. The points here are that it is, eventually, drinkable, and that it’s not totally gross. Also that it might make decent iced tea. But really…other than that? It has absolutely nothing going for it.
A breakfast tea of boldness, depth and character, invigorating any time of the day. This eye-opening black tea blend has a full, rich flavor, with hints of dark caramel, malt and black cherries. Perfect with milk. This is a great breakfast or mid morning tea.
Refreshing, crisp black tea. I prefer lightly iced and with sugar. Could taste the fruit.
Seems a bit blah today, but it’s nice and warm drink for a rainy day.
