Black Tea by Tea for All Reasons

A selection of china black teas, pumpkin spices, flavorings and little candy pumpkins for a touch of whimsy makes this one a sure winner.

Another favorite pumpkin tea! Very delicious iced as well as a yummy hot cup. Not over spiced at all so the wonderful pumpkin flavor shines through.

I love pumpkins and pumpkin pie, but I can only take so much in the way of spices. That’s fine for dessert, but not always great for tea; I need pumpkin pie tea to taste like pie, not chai. Fortunately, this one doesn’t disappoint! The cinnamon, clove, and so on are strong, but they don’t overwhelm the pumpkin or even the tea itself.

This is very much a dessert tea and also very much reminds me of fall; I’m looking forward to curl up with it and a book on a cold day. The pumpkin sprinkles give it a nice little sweetness on its own, but I prefer the flavor with a bit of brown sugar (and even if you’re a artificial sweetener sort of person, go with real sugar for this one. Splenda kills it). Add some pumpkin creamer and you’ve got yourself a glorious pumpkin latte!

Also worth mentioning is that this can be steeped twice nicely; the second steeping tastes simpler, for lack of a better word.

I’ve been having this nearly every morning since I got it. If that isn’t a sign that it’s great, I don’t know what is!

I’m back at school after fall break now, and I’ve completely forgotten to bring any brown sugar with me — bummer, because that’s what gives this the sweetness I prefer. It doesn’t NEED sugar, but without anything to sweeten it, it reminds me more of some kind of some kind of pumpkin spice soup than a pie.

I am going to marry this tea.

And with that, this lovely tea is no more! Sadness. I probably should have put some in the order that I just made, but it didn’t occur to me… but then again, hopefully it will end up on sale when it’s less seasonal and I can get a big tin for cheap!

It’s a beautiful summer morning, which made drinking this decidedly autumnal tea feel mildly anachronistic. But in a good way. This is one of four I bought from TeaForAllReasons’ summer sale stock ($3 for 2oz! Amazing!).

I’ve tried, and been disappointed by, several pumpkin teas in the past – they were inevitably very heavy on the spices and the pumpkin flavor would be buried. Not so here – the pumpkin stays center stage and the spices are merely complementary, and the end result is very satisfying.

Tried this at a tea shop today, and it was perfect. It smelled like a candle and tasted delicious. I wish it wasn’t a black tea, because that almost overpowers the pumpkin flavor..but it’s still great!
