Boy was I ever wrong about how awesome this would be cold brewed. I think that I may have used too much tea, but even so it is missing the sweetness that the hot cup had. It also has an almost minty aspect to it that I’m not enjoying. Seriously, if I’d only had this as a cold brewed iced tea then its rating would’ve been in the 50’s or 60’s. It’s that big of a difference.

Because I fear that I used too much tea I went ahead and added more water to the pitcher with hopes that it’ll be a bit more pleasant tonight. Perhaps this would be better as a hot brewed iced tea. I’ll have to save that experiment until I buy more. NE

Ok, I must have missed something, somewhere. What does NE mean?

Rabs

I have my own little system that helps me know whether or not to get a tea (beyond the ratings) and I’m too lazy to write them out each time and I’m also concerned that my highest praise of TG (or Teagasm) might offend someone. So I listed the four little abbreviations at the bottom of my biography. For example: I could rate a tea in the 90s since it’s a great tea, but if it’s not Teagasmic for me then I most likely won’t buy it again. Does that make sense?

Rabs

And this is the first time that a tea has earned a TG in one preparation (hot) and a NE for another (iced). That should help me know at a glance that it was okay iced, but that I should go with the hot version when making it.

Oh – DUH, I see it there on the side.. I’m sorry.

Rabs

Nothing to be sorry about! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done the “wait a second: you live in insert name of state here?” even though it’s always been there under the Steepsterite’s bio. ;)

I really need to try this tea on its own, but not today! The first time I mixed it hot with Tea Guys’ Maple Sugar and it was amazing, so I decided to experiment a little bit more. Ads for Teavana’s Pineapple Blueberry Pop mix keep popping up, and it seems like a good flavor combination but their teas are so expensive. So, I made my own—2 parts Persimmon Tree’s Tropical Pineapple, 1 part Wild Blueberry (since the flavor is a lot stronger). I cold brewed it overnight, and it’s just what I wanted—juicy and sweet from the blueberry, tropical with a slight hint of tang from the pineapple. They both have a green base so the flavors don’t clash but work together in harmony. Very nice!

Thanks LiberTeas for giving me a sample of this delicious tea.

I love the freshness of the blueberry. It doesn’t taste artificle. It is refreshing and light. I would go as far as to assume it would be delicious iced and absolutely thirst quenching.

I had the last of this earlier today too. I iced it – yummy! Glad you enjoyed it too.

I am watching a movie with my young one and enjoying a cup of this at the moment. The berry flavor is pleasant – sweet with just a hint of tart. The tea base of white and green teas is very soft, leafy (vegetative) flavor. It is very subtle and the blueberry taste is the most prominent of this cup.

Yum!

This tea has a very pleasant aroma. Don’t steep it for more than the recommended two minutes or it tastes a bit burnt.
