This is a deeply sensual tea, aged to complexity, that can be steeped more than 20 times, and keeps on giving flavorful cups. It took a while for me to be able to get any decent flavor in this at home. If you try it, don’t give up. The water needs to be just off boiling, not cooled, and I steep no less than a tablespoon, mostly a bit more, at a time. Best in my smallest guywan.
Liu Bao Flower Buds
Small flower buds from Liu Bao tea trees, have been aged for over 6 years. Sweet and crystal crisp at first, brews up to 15 infusions per session. The fragrance increases as it goes, the last few steeps can take long, as the temperature decreases, the fragrance stays in mouth as they bloom right in your mouth. Very unique and enjoyable tea. Rare find of such small flower buds and aged for so long! A must try tea.
