From Teabox

This Himalayan First Flush blend is from the up-and-coming tea-growing district of the NW Himalayas, 1,100 miles (1,800 kilometers) from Darjeeling. Even at such a remove, tea character is quite reminiscent of the more famous NE Himalayan gardens. If there is a renaissance of tea-making in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand this tea is a case in point. It is fresh and vegetal, of medium astringency with muscatel character to please and tease the palate. It is a far cry from the rough green teas this district produced over a century ago..and up to recent times.

This is another sample from DonkeyTiera. Thank you!

I am really enjoying all the Teabox samples she sent. I am considering joining their 10 dollars a month club. Everything I have tried so far has been amazing if you enjoy teas from India. It turns out I really do. This one is the first cup this morning and I am not sure how to describe the flavor. It is just a pleasant, warming cup. Very smooth, slightly floral. Tad hints of malt in the finish. I am digging it.
