Tea has aroma of juicy, rich dates.
Flavour is slightly astringent, not good to drink on its own. Tastes a bit better with milk, but even better with sugar.
Brewed at 191˚F for 4 minutes.
This tea comes from Harmutty, a garden planted in 1870 by Major Gibb. It’s reputed for its orthodox second flush and this season’s offering does much to keep up its reputation. With large leaves, plenty of golden tips, this summer black tea is wonderfully malty.
Subtle sweetness resembling honey, fruit, wood, hints of herb
The liquor starts with notes of wood and slight sweetness. Feeble astringency that fades, mellow yet, medium-bodied. Notes of honey and malt are noticeable.
