  • “Love this tea. Coconut and vanilla is a perfect combination w the vanilla sweetening the coconut. No need for sugar w this tea. And oddly it can be steeped twice w/full flavor each time.” Read full tasting note

I picked up my TeaFrog package at the post office today, and couldn’t wait to start trying the samples I bought.

Coconut Vanilla White was my first choice, as I had high hopes for this one. I like white tea, coconut, and vanilla. It should be a winner.

The smell of the dry tea is beautiful. Coconut and vanilla. Yum. I was careful to only steep it for 2 min, and there was no astringency when I drank it. With every sip, I taste the coconut, and then the vanilla. I’m not sure what the rosebuds are adding, but the flavours blend well.

I tried a second infusion at 75C for 4 min. The taste of the tea was more apparent, and it was also a touch astringent. I’ll stick to 2 min in the future.

This is a nice, light, sweet tea. I love teas that I don’t have to sweeten, as I never remember to add sugar, anyway. It’s not my favourite tea ever, but pretty darn good. I hope the rest of TeaFrog’s teas are this good.

This is a beautiful-looking tea. The pink rose buds add a touch of femininity to this. The smell of the dry leaf kind of scares me though. It’s a little on the artificial side, and reminds me of the Vanilla Oolong from DavidsTea, which was a no-go for me. Let’s hope the taste won’t disappoint.

Fortunately, the aroma has improved ten-fold once I steeped this. The coconut has come forth and the vanilla toned down on the artificiality.

Wow, first sip = Holy Coconut Batman. The most coconutty tea I’ve ever had. I don’t really taste any vanilla but I’m definitely not complaining. This is absolutely lovely.

Whites are my favourite, but this one was only good for me. I think I was expecting a little more vanilla. It is still fairly sweet and flavourful. I don’t think I will re-stock, but someone suggested cold brewing on here, so maybe I will give that a try.

So…. it smells like coconut and vanilla, that’s a good start I guess. It definitely looks great (not so much the leaves themselves as the overall mix).

First sip: Nutty hit in the face -didn’t expect that. Perplexes me. As I keep on drinking my cup I start tasting the actual coco part of the nut ! Delicious ! Long and smooth lasting after taste. The vanilla is present and complements the overall experience very well without feeling powdery at anytime.

So what’s missing ? Well the White tea part of this drink is rather subtle (might be my steeping method). This is an excellent soothing tea if you like coconut and aren’t looking for a white tea party in your mouth. Plain Pai Mu Dan or Silver needles will do a better job at dealing with your white tea craving.

Overall, impressed with this one, will most likely order more.

Delicious. Exactly as advertised.

This is a really enjoyable, easy to drink tea. It fits the bill for when you’re craving a creamy, soft, satisfying but yet light tea. My boyfriend, who hates coconut, even enjoyed this. It has the great qualities of coconut without coming across like a pina colada. Very enjoyable.

Accidentally oversteeped my cup though. :D

This is the second TeaFrog tea that Ubacat sent to me. Thank you so much. Is always interesting to try tea from different companies.
I liked this one too. It’s a really nice coconut white tea. The coconut is creamy and nutty not fake or artificial. There is just a hint of vanilla. All in all I’ve been happy with my first taste of TeaFrog.

Though I’m not a big white tea drinker, nor am I a fan of coconut flavourings, I found this tea to be true to it’s name! The coconut wasn’t overpowering; more natural actually. Quite aromatic and hints of sweet-creaminess.
