I received this from Carol Who in the Christmas Card swap. Thank you!

This is a different rooibos blend. There is a sweet fruity note followed by a good amount of cinnamon and then a tartness that makes my jaw tingle. It’s not bad, but it’s not my favorite either.

I felt the same way :( It is upsetting when you go to a very well regarded tea shop and end up with a few teas that just don’t live up to my expectation. Luckily I didn’t buy a lot and I did get my favorite Earl Grey #69 (lots of it).

This is a rather mediocre holiday blend. The cinnamon, almond and cardamom are pretty traditional in a holiday blend, the addition of sandalwood is interesting but doesn’t do much for the flavor. Nothing really wrong with it but nothing to rush out and buy. They had these in a sampler pack in the store and looked very cute. I just got an individual package of 50 grams. Glad I just got the 50 grams. The staff in the store were terrific and gave me smaller samples of a bunch of teas to take home after I talked about Steepster. Tea shop employees are always really impressed by Steepster. :)
