From Tealeaves

The scent alone invokes visions of romance, contentment, and peace.

Take a sip and close your eyes. Feel the beautiful lavender flowers come alive around you. Let the magic from your teacup take you away to wherever you want to go.

Entering the house, I am greeted by an enticing aroma. It beckons me to the kitchen where the table is set for tea and clouds of lavender-scented steam is wafting from the teapot. I breathe in deeply, the soothing aroma refreshing my spirits.

Lavender is believed to have a soothing effect and can help promote natural sleep. The aromatic flowers are added to tea blends to lend their distinctive perfume and a refreshing quality. Lavender is thought to have been used in Roman times to scent baths and bed linens, hence its name derived from the Latin word, lavare, which means to wash. Bergamot oil is known for its calming and restorative properties.

This blend uses certified organic, ultra lavender freshly harvested in Provence, France. It is the highest quality lavender (tea grade) with the greatest concentration of floral essential oils, and the addition of lavender in an Earl Grey blend is a beloved one in France.

A well-balanced black tea scented with oil of bergamot and perfumed with the finest lavender buds produces a lovely floral and aromatic infusion that is both soothing and uplifting at the same time.

“It has the perfect balance of floral and herbal flavour and is both rich and delicate.” – ICON Reginald Archambault
