Bella Berry

Black Fruit Blend by Tealish

A simple and beautiful blend with fresh notes of strawberry and melon. Amazing hot or iced, this tea pairs perfectly with a little cookie and some good company, which we hope you treat yourself to every day! It’s the small things in life that make it so beautiful!!

I know I’ve been using “juicy” and “lovely” a lot in my reviews, but that’s what I’ve been craving lately.

And this one hits that sweet spot. Oh my goodness. Ooooooh my goodness! I love watermelon. I live for watermelon in the summer and yes, I will buy a whole watermelon and bring it home, even when I was walking to the grocery store. And I’m the only person in the house who eats it!

This is juicy and melon-y…yum. It does taste a touch artificial, but not so much so that it takes away from the tea. I am surprised with the full flavor with every sip! I was expecting a black tea with a hint of melon or strawberry. Instead I get POWberry and WHAMmelon! So much love for this…I may need to stock up before summer comes…if summer ever comes…

Made cup of this in my CRAZY AMAZING NEW THERMOS from Contigo (http://www.fenigo.com/ContigoAutosealTumblers.htm) before heading downtown to meet my fellow steepsterites. No seriously, y’all, that tumbler is freaking amazing. Kitchen Stuff Plus. $20. Worth every penny.

ANYWAY. Yum. I wanted to pick something the wife and I could share and this one won out easily. Delicious. We both just love this tea. It’s right up there with fairy dust. Hot or cold, this tea is love. Juicy and fruity and everything I ever wanted in a tea.

Tried this one cold steeped at the Toronto Tea Party of Awesomeness and Sleepovers, and it was…okay. Like Tina said, the fruit notes were lovely, but the tea seemed off. This is a hot tea for me. Cold, I took one sip, made a face, and didn’t touch it again.

After a few not-so-great tea days, I reached for something I knew would be good. Especially after the sadness that was my cup of Forbidden Fruit, I desperately needed some POWberry and WHAMmelon! ;)

This cup delivered. Now that I’ve broken the bad tea mojo streak, I’m off to try some of my samples from Teavivre!

Oh this was a lovely tea to have walking to work today! The smell for me was strawberry, which made me smile since spring is coming and I’m looking forward to berry season. The flavour notes are a nice balance of strawberry with an offside of melon. What melon I’m not quite sure, but it is melon-y and lovely.

I’m going to have to sip this one again soon. I’ll try to make my review more detailed that time!

Did this one up as a cold steep Saturday evening at the request of aisling so she could try it. It is interesting iced . . the fruit notes definitely become more prominent, and they themselves are lovely. The tea notes though seem . . . not quite right. And my stomach reacts to it in an unpleasant way. I don’t think I’ll be cold steeping this one again.

I had this one hot tonight to try and redeem it after the horrible experiment of a cold steep. And thank goodness I did, because this one is so much better hot. It still isn’t memorable, but I don’t dread reaching for it now either. In fact I enjoy it as I sip.

Not bad, but not as good as my recent Tealish winning streak. I’ve come to expect really natrual fruit flavours from their blends, but I think that is harder to accomplish with melon flavours. Also, I’m more finicky about fruity black blends. Tasty, but not exciting.
