From Tealosophy

The Sencha green tea is produced in Japan, one of the teas consumed in the country where Japan gained notoriety and popularity, some argue that the process was imported from China is also the region where today is still developing. This tea has acquired a reputation in the world of tea for its antioxidant and diuretic properties, as well as its delicate flavor and herbal aroma. In cup has a faint yellow-green leaves infused so swell reaching magnitudes of medium-sized plant leaves. Japanese Sencha and roasted means is that this tea has a process in which the leaves are vaporized in the first instance to prevent oxidation, it immediately begins to ferment. Its leaves are rolled and then smoked from there comes its name “toast” This process is different from the mainly Chinese Sencha flavor a little more bitter and more intense color.
