From Tealux

Keemun or ‘Quimen’ is a red tea originating from Qimen County in China’s Anhei province. Keemun is a distinctive black tea with a rich and full-bodied red wine grape flavor that has led to its becoming popular all across the world, and Keemun tea holds the distinction of being designated as a China Famous Tea, one of the best available!

Our Keemn Hao Ya tea is a limited edition, so make sure you don’t miss out! Hand picked and processed in the traditional manner as a Mao Feng graded tea, this premium Keemun variety is prized for its rich, toasty mid notes and intense, smoky aroma that puts the drinker in mind of the highest grades of incense. Steeping to a beautiful bright fiery amber-red colouration, our Keemun Hao Ya provides a smooth and well-rounded flavor palate from start to finish, with an earthy, smoky aroma and clean, mellow endnotes.

This was my work tea of choice today.
It was ok. I don’t have much to say, not much wrong with it, but certainly not my favorite. Was good for work, didn’t get bitter or astringent with oversteeping. The description says smokey, I didn’t get any of that – which would be a good thing in my world. This is a mid bold tea, if that makes sense. No doubt it’s a black, it’s not mild and fruity like some of them, but it’s also not bold and chocolaty like others – some where in between. I’m going to enjoy what I have but probably won’t reorder. There are lots of blacks out there that I personally enjoy more.

OMGsrsly

Hmm. And the Premium Keemun Hao Ya is on sale this weekend through Teavivre. Might end up getting 100g of that one instead.
