Okay…first I must say…I have been wanting to try ANYTHING from Teany forever!!! Why!? Because MOBY co-owns it and I am a MOBY Fan and because it’s also a vegetarian restaurant and I am a vegetarian and don’t know if I will ever be able to visit it in person.

I want to THANK LiberTEAs for this one too!

A SHOUT OUT to anyone who is looking to get rid of TeanNY Tea…regardless of what it is (other than banana flavored) I would LOVE to try it! I will gladly take ANY Teany teas off your hands or will trade/swap…just let me know!!! :)

Now…
When I first took this out of the bag I could smell the chocolate without having to even read the description. This made me very VERY happy. This smell great!

I can primarily taste the almond over everything else BUT can follow it up with the White Chocolate tastes and then hints of floral to follow that.

This is pretty tasty.

It’s a cute little place!!!! So sad it is closed right now because of the fire. They have really good food too!

TeaEqualsBliss

FIRE!? I didn’t hear about that!!!! What happened!?

JacquelineM

I didn’t know either – someone mentioned it to me, so I googled it and the site says the cafe is closed due to a small fire and will reopen shortly. I don’t know when…I was thinking about going on my next stop in NYC so I will keep checking!

LiberTEAS

The tea that I got from them, I ordered online. https://www.teany.com/ Shipping was speedy!

I did not know about the Moby connection.

Steepster ate my < intrigued > cause I put it in arrows?

Rabs

Steepster ate an entire paragraph when I attempted an arrow one time. So I’m wondering if it’s some sort of techie-code thing. Harumph!

TeaParT

html code is enclosed in arrows. There are certain codes that you can use to get special characters to display but that can vary with so many browser options. Easier to avoid them when using comment boxes.

I ♥ NewYorkCiTEA

I had figured since bold and italics used * and _ that the site wouldn’t try to interpret html code. test

Hmm… It didn’t take < b >. lol Who knows.

Now that I’ve steeped the last from my Oolong, I thought I’d have some Vienna Green.

On a slightly unrelated note, I wish that teany included photos of their tea on their website. It would make life so much easier for this tea reviewer!

This tea is yummy. Chocolate is well pronounced in the cup, but I can also taste the green tea – pleasant, fresh, and only very slightly vegetative. A toasted sweetness from the nuts. I can also taste a slight buttery flavor to the overall blend – a very rich, creamy taste. Very decadent. YUMMY!

This is a tea that absolutely requires a low temperature for steeping. Too high a heat will give this tea a really blah taste…

i sooooooo want to try anything from teany….jealous…lol…

LiberTEAS

I also increased my rating for this tea. The last time I steeped this tea and rated it, I think I had my water too hot, because it did have that blah taste I mention in the note. Now… it’s just delightful!

LiberTEAS

I am sending you a sampling of this one, I think and also the green chai. I am really low on the golden nepal otherwise I’d send you some of that too.

TeaEqualsBliss

yay…thanks…u r too good to me…hugs

Vienna Green’s one of my favorites from Teany. The cocoa nibs make for a wonderful aroma and chocolatey finish. It’s a nice combination over conversation on a slightly chilly almost-spring evening.
