Peaches and Cream

Hmm. It seems I’m really not too big of a fan of Teaopia, so I’m not so crushed that they’re gone… This one’s another big miss for me. It sounds absolutely divine, but the flavour is weak and slightly fruity. In the aftertaste I can taste unsweetened fuzzy peach; perhaps it’s meant to be drank with sugar, but that’s a black mark for me. I can’t really taste the oolong at all, even though there’s clearly a lot in there. Bleh. Well, it’s not terrible, it’s just really, really boring. What a bummer. I’m glad I didn’t waste too much money at Teaopia; companies with small sample sizes are definitely the way to go.

SIpdown! and i’m not sure if i got this from kittenna or indigobloom either way this totally reminds me of tim horton’s peach drink. I’m not getting that oolong taste in this so i’m ok with it…since well, artificial peach drink is one of my guilty gross pleasures haha

wow, peaches!!! the essence was quite strong here. More so than in yesterdays white tea, by volumes.
The oolong base was nice as well… I feel that this is a MUCH nicer base than they used in the plum tea. It’s more crisp and defined, and really allows the peach to dance around, making it a bit more complex. Oh and the cream part… I can find that to. Very nice! mild, hiding in the back, but perfect for the blend.
Now, despite all of this, I’ve decided that I am not a big fan of peach tea. I can see how someone might fall in love with it… it has all the qualities necessary for that! it’s just is not “the one” for me. Still, I’m thrilled to have tried it! and that I’m beginning to learn my tea tastes a bit better now.

I had this earlier today while I was fighting with my ex-boyfriend and crying. Also, I’m sick. This might be a terrible reflection on the true taste of this tea, but I was a bit let down. It smells very creamy and delicious, however, the taste didn’t quite live up to that aroma.

This one is pretty good. It definitely has a good, strong peach aroma when I open the bag. Once brewed, it’s the pleasant, smooth flavor I expect from an Oolong. I’m surprised I don’t get more peach flavor, but maybe my peach taste buds are on strike after all the peaches I’ve been eating this summer?

I did find that compared to the milk oolong, the peaches and cream has more broken leaves once steeped. It’s not the end of the world for me, but I thought it odd.

I actually quite like this! The dry leaf smell is absolutely divine, and though the liquor’s aroma is decidedly much more subtle, I still quite like it. The leaves swell up to an alarming size, so make sure you have enough room in your vessel!! The flavour is wonderfully smooth, with a healthy astringency that reminds me of Chinese restaurants. Quite lovely at a slightly cooler temperature than normal just so you can appreciate the full flavour in your mouth. I might try it with a shorter steep time next time. Would buy again for sure.

Definitely one of my favorites. This tea is like drinking a peaches & cream Popsicle. I even drink it cold as a iced tea. Delicious!

As another reviewer has mentioned, I also cannot get past the perfume-y, chemical taste. It leaves a strange, heavy aftertaste on the tongue, as if I was just drinking some kind of floral perfume, minus the alcohol. The flavour is okay, but nothing that would keep me coming back for more. I like that it’s not as heavy in the creamy department as some oolongs, it’s a bit lighter and definitely peachy, but not as peachy as I would have hoped.

I couldn’t get past the chemical taste during the first steep. This tea is OK after that taste goes away, but it takes at least one or two steepings to get it past that. I bought 50g of this with a Groupon, and I finished about half the bag before giving it to some poor unsuspecting soul.

Anyone who likes a subtle hint of vanilla will love this cup. It has a light astringency, making it easy on a newcomers palette. I find the tea tastes a lot like peach yogurt if sweetened, or steeped for 4 min. It is an incredible tea to look at. A must for people who like flavored oolong, or a sweeter cup.
