Strawberry Cream

Rooibos Tea by Teaopia

This dessert-like tea is the perfect combination of Rooibos, strawberry pieces and strawberry leaves. This tea is a great substitute or accompaniment for dessert as is safe to drink at night since it is naturally caffeine free. Strawberry Cream has the perfect balance of fruit and cream and will be praised by tea and fruit lovers.

This was pretty good. Smelled delicious in the bag.
Tastes nice and light, mostly of light strawberry flavour. It is a little bit earthy from the rooibos but not overwhelmingly so. I am getting a little hint of the cream. I think a splash of milk will bring out the cream and sweetness a little more.

Thanks to tattooed_tea for sending me more of this

I tried this as a cold brew. The rooibos was way too strong here and masks the strawberry flavour. I guess if you are going for a really earthy tea, this would be ok, but that just isn’t what I was looking for from this. From now on, I will stick to a hot brew because it is delicious that way!

Leaving the rating the same though.

Sweet happy yum yum tea. Added rock sugar quite generously and with abandon, as well as a big splash of milk. Enjoying this before bed :)

Been enjoying this for the last couple of days. With Teaopia gone, I’m sad that I won’t be able to get more of this tea. Hoping I can find a replacement for it. I know Teavana kept some of the Teaopia blends, but for some reason I didn’t think this was on the list of ‘keepers’

Sweet and sticky, with a strawberry syrup smell and taste. It has that unique itchy quality of red rooibos that I’ve still yet to like. Overall a nice falvour, but not my favourite tea since the rooibos overpowers.

18 down – 482 to go!

So… apparently I am on a strawberry kick now.
I needed a non caffeinated night-time treat while at the mall with some friends… (how highschool do I sound… sheesh, I’m almost thirty now!) and tea was waist-line friendlier than yogen-fruz so thus I ended up at teaopia for the second time today.
Anyhow, this one is definitely on the bottom rung out of the three strawberry teas I’ve tried… however still a decent tea overall.
The berry flavour is lacking, but then I am also having trouble finding the rooibos. Hrm actually, I do get some tartness, which could be confusing the red part for me. Also, I added milk to this, because I wasn’t getting the “cream” part either.
Atleast I didn’t need to add any sugar. and it does taste creamier than I expected with the milk. Maybe if i tried it again, added a smidge of sugar and no milk… and sat down to properly savour this one it would make a stronger impression with me. I would give it a second chance, but not at my expense!

mmmmm I tried a cuppa this last night, at the mall hunting for my summer sandal… (I found one but they were sold out in my size. Half price to!)
This time, I actually found some creaminess. It really tasted like strawberry to. Juicy sweet strawberries! yum. Rating holds at 85.

Interesting. The rooibos had very little scent in the bag. As soon as I poured water on it I got excited as I suddenly got a whiff of juicy, fresh-picked strawberries. I don’t know where that came from, though! Maybe wishful thinking. When I went in for a closer sniff, I really just smelled the rooibos.

I mostly just taste rooibos here. There is a hint of berry taste, but I’m not getting any of the “cream” as I’m drinking it. It’s okay, definitely not a re-order. Oh, Boxing Day sales.

I think the rooibos over powers all the other flavours in this tea. If you can get past the rooibos, you can taste a hit of strawberry & a slight amount of cream. I find even the dry notes smell mostly of rooibos as oppose to strawberry.

This isn’t quite what I was hoping for. However, when I read the Teaopia tea guide it made more sense. This does have a hint of strawberry, and when you take in the scent its wonderful. The name doesn’t make sense to me as there were no creamy notes described in the listed? With a little bit of milk and some honey/vanilla agave this tasted a lot better though.
