what the heck is this?! I wanted an oolong, but got some sort of berry juice that wasn’t like anything I expected, in a bad way. I would not qualify this as an oolong… perhaps a green? it definitely tasted like a green base to me.
There was no natural sweetness, or oolong characteristic in there whatsoever.
Now, I did manage to drink the entire cup but never again… it was flat and rather boring! Worst oolong I’ve ever had, if you don’t count those that were tainted by tea masters.
This is what I imagine a bagged Oolong from Tim Hortons would be like. That’s right, I took it there…
**most of the points are lost here because it does not deliver on expectations. If it had been labeled a green, or anything besides oolong (even white!) I would rate it higher.
It had such potential!!
Sad thing is, I’m almost tempted to rate it higher because it was bergamot free! ah tea sachets, you saved my love for Teaopia!

Possibly over-steeped or too much leaf, but not catching the berry flavour at all, but theres is a very fragrant oolong. This preparation was sweetened with a small spoon of local raw honey instead of sugar, and no milk. It’s probably more naked than I usually drink my tea, but as I am low on both sugar and honey, I used less than normal. I am also trying to reduce how much sugar I use, as I am having more tea lately, and going through the sugar far faster than I used to.

I’m not sure how to rate this tea, as it is fine as an oolong, but I catch no berry, so, points knocked off for that? I may need to revise the rating anyway, as it is possible that this less sweet infusion is leading to less berry, or perhaps my headache coming back is affecting my taste and perceptions of foods and smells.

I think for now, I will leave this unrated. Once I make the final batch from the sample pouch, I will be able to give this a proper rating.

Going to take some more meds and go lay down again. Perhaps a bath later.

I had high hopes for this tea, it smelt nice and everyone talks about how great oolongs are. I brewed this for iced tea & couldn`t even drink it because the smell nauseated me. I can`t give this tea a numeral rating for this reason.

I am not generally a fan of oolong, I’m more of a green tea type of gal, but I have to say this one was pretty delicious. A lot because it has a lot of qualities of green tea, but be warned – any one who tries this one, do not steep it too long, it will taste quite horrid.

Juicy, and light. It resteeps very well, actually the second steeping being far more of a tea taste then “berry juice”. My favorite flavored oolong carried by teaopia.
