Sleep Well

Herbal Tea by Teaopia

Sleep Well is a combination of Rooibos, tulsi, Melissa, lemon verbena, hop leaves, aniseed, fennel, peppermint and liquorice root. This tea is an ideal drink to have before bed as it relieves headaches, nausea and insomnia and since it is naturally caffeine free there is no risk of disturbing sleep. Sleep Well will become a quick favourite for anyone who has trouble sleeping.

I love this tea so much! I don’t even know what it is. It only needs a little bit of honey and it is the perfect tea to read a book to and eventually start to nod off. Generally I don’t like to sweeten teas, but with this, it didn’t take away from the taste, and it was absolutely beautiful.

Even the smell started relaxing me!

I loved this tea from Teaopia and Teavana. It’s been discontinued and I’m looking for a replacement. Any suggestions? I tried the Tealux Sleepy Tea and it was terrible, it even made me feel slightly ill.

The best herbal tea I’ve ever tried, so far.

My friend gulped this stuff down and I wish that the Teavana inherited this flavour when it bought out Teaopia :(

I didn’t mind this tea, but I really drank it to help me sleep.

It worked. Every night that I had a cup (or two) before bed, I slept like a rock so it was absolutely worth it.

I knew with the ingredients I was probably not going to be a big fan of this tea, but I am an insomniac desperate for sleep so I tried it. I have to say I wasn’t thrilled on the taste or smell. It was a little weak in both areas, probably a good thing. I love peppermint tea, but this tea lacked it.
On the upside despite the taste & smell I actually go a pretty decent sleep.

This is one of my favourite herbals. It yields a dark, rich brew which is pleasantly floral with a slight minty flavour. Lovely to unwind with in the evening.

I’m really fond of this tea! I’m so sad it’s been discontinued. I’ve been using DavidsTea’s Mother’s Littler Helper, which is good, but not the same. The fennel/licorice root/aniseed portion gave Sleep Well an aftertaste that grew on me. I don’t normally like licorice, so that’s impressive. The rooibos also gave it a really beautiful hue.

I miss it. :( Every time I brewed it, simply smelling it cheered me up and calmed me down.

My final decision on this will be when I see how well I sleep tonight….
This is what I think of when i think of an “herbal tea”. Very generic. I don’t find any particular smell or taste coming through. There is a faint mint smell if I breathe deep. Not over powering….kind of like when my grandma’s purse….the smell of the scotch mints mixed with other smells, so that it became one smell, minty but not, If that makes any sense at all.
It isn’t unpleasant. No bitterness. It just is. I can’t see me ever thinking “Oh you know what I could really go for right now?” but I won’t hesitate to drink it again, especially if it helps me sleep!

For a night-time herbal, this is one of the better ones… no bitterness to it, and the flavour is pleasant. Nice colour in the cup, very easy to drink, and relaxing before sleep.

Being a great fan of peppermint, I find this an enjoyable and mellow sleepytime tea. I like how the rooibos, though I can taste it, is not overpowering and only an undertone to the core peppermint. Would have been a rather unremarkable tea if not for the pleasant aftertaste it leaves after each sip, perhaps the taste of the liquorice root or the fennel? Not very fragrant though, so not the most exciting tea out there.
