Golden Dan Chong

Oolong Tea by Teas.com.au

The tea connoiseur’s secret is out! Not many people have experienced the soft yet flavoursome Golden Dan Chong, but it is certainly “once tried, always love” kind of tea!

Premium Dan Chong (Da Cong) oolong showered with golden sweet Osmanthus flowers. It has a faint roasted taste with soothing fragrance. A great cup after meal.

Ingredients: oolong (Camellia Sinensis) tea (Camellia Sinensis) (China), osmanthus

I seem to be on an oolong kick this week, because here’s another one. The osmanthus flowers look very pretty when steeping and they also give a faint sweetness to the aroma. That slight sweetness is also present in the flavour. This is one of the best oolongs I’ve tried. I’ll definitely be drinking more of it.

This tea produces the typical oolong golden yellow type brew, and cools to become very smooth and gently sweet. A very easy-drinking tea.

This one’s always significantly better once it’s cooled down a bit.

I loved this the first time I tried it and it’s now one of my staples. Very smooth and with a delicate sweetness courtesy of the osmanthus flowers. First steeping is very good, second steeping’s the best, but by the third steeping the flavour’s really starting to drop off so I mostly don’t do more than two.

Had more of this yesterday. Still good!

I’m not feeling so well today and not in the mood for any new tea experiences. Every time I go to the tea cupboard I end up thinking: “I think I’ll have another cup of this.” Currently contemplating cup number four…

The addiction has continued over this weekend. ;-)

Having another cup of this. This is definitely this week’s favourite new tea.
