From Teas Etc

Irish Breakfast Organic

Fresh and invigorating, USDA certified organic Irish Breakfast is a flavorful way to greet the morning, or beat the mid-day blues.

The aroma is sweet and rich with the scent of raisins, and the dark translucent brew is strong, with just a hint of astringency. The flavor is wonderfully bold, with notes of sweet caramel and malty oats.

A hint of sweet raisin lingers in the aftertaste. Excellent in every way, Irish Breakfast is perfect straight up, but equally enjoyable with a splash of milk and bit of sugar if you prefer.

I’m still on my breakfast blend kick so I picked up an ounce of this when I made my Teas Etc order. It has a nice bakey flavor to it that reminds me of Thomas Sampson but just a hint. It has a nice sweet malty flavor at the end. There’s a good weight to it but the texture is nicely smooth. It’s not the most distinctive Irish Breakfast but it is pretty tasty. Today I had it with a little sugar and half & half (because that’s how I roll) so I still need to try it straight to see how that turns out. But right now, while this wouldn’t be my IB of perfection, I could definitely see myself rebuying it.

I really like this black tea. It’s actually a mix between being a light tasting black tea and a thicker black tea. It does have a sweetness to it like raisins or a dab of honey.

I wouldn’t mind it being a little darker or stronger, but overall it’s a very pleasant black tea.
