From Teas Etc

Our USDA Certified Organic Gunpowder Imperial is the highest grade available and comes from the renowned “green tea triangle” in Anhui Province, China.

Called “Gunpowder” because of the pellet like appearance, not all gunpowder green tea is the same. For the finest quality look for a consistent size and shape in the roll, a dark almost shiny finish to the leaf and a smoother, not as smoky a finish as some of the lower grade teas.

Gunpowder Tea Type: Green Tea

Ingredients: Organic Chinese green tea (pinhead gunpowder)

Origin of Gunpowder : Anhui, China

This is actually my second time with this one, though I forgot to log the first. Simple and smokey. A light green liquid that for me is perfect in the morning.

I bought this tea at my health food store. The tea is in fine rolled pellets hence gunpowder. Its a very mild tea and I didn’t taste any smokiness which by the way I enjoy in tea. This tea was just bland to me. I have had Adagios gunpowder which I enjoyed because of the slight smoky flavor. The tea is organic but I really just did not enjoy this tea.
