Earl Grey White Tip

Black Tea by TeaSource

Made from fine Chinese teas with a large portion of white tips (the most prized leaf of the plant) and blended with the finest oil of bergamot available. Incredibly aromatic and flavorful.

Thank you to Meghann for this sample. The dry tea has got a wonderful typical Earl Grey scent and there were quite a few white tips visible in my sample. The brewed tea is a very good Earl Grey. The bergamot flavour stands out clearly. The quality of the black tea seems to be decent at the very least and perhaps better.

I would most certainly recommend giving this a taste for those who are in search of their perfect Earl Grey BFF.

The draw for me in this one is the wonderful bergamot…it’s delightful! The perfect amount for me and it tastes REAL not artificial. There is a good deal of that EG Floral aroma and taste as well which is strong but true. There is an interesting mellowness or smoothness even tho it’s strong…maybe more towards the end of the sip…regardless it is good and does stand out to be a memorable EG. I want to thank Meghann M for this one, too!

YUP! Earl Grey and a little Grateful Dead!

Continuing on with my Tea/Music Challenge (see the topic in the discussion forums)…

I have a very little bit of this left – maybe enough for a cups-worth after this one. I like this very much…still no artificial EG Tastes going on here…real, true, crisp, and concise! NICE!

A sample from Meghann M – thank you!!

Smelling the sample was wonderful – the aromatic qualties of the tea were amazing. The smell is powerful and strong.

However, the flavor profile is nowhere as strong as the smell. In taste, the bergamot is fairly mild. If you like your Earl Grey smooth and mellow, this may be your cup of tea. The tea base is mild and flavorful, and a lovely dark brown color when brewed.

However, I tend to prefer my bergamot a little stronger. So, not my cup of choice, but not a bad cup at all.

Tea Earl Grey, Hot.

This Earl Grey has a clearly bergamot flavor. The black tea base is tasty. The two together are pretty good. I do think I like my Earl Grey Creme’s better than plain old Earl. This was pretty good alone, held up to milk well also. Lupica’s is still my go to Earl Grey with Teavana’s Earl Grey Creme coming up a close second.

Ah- I love Earl Grey. Here the flavors are very crisp and clear.

The bergamot is smooth and citrus-y with very little floral notes. Not at all perfume-y. It finishes with a sweet yet tangy aftertaste. A wonderful Earl grey.

Overall it tastes like a fine cup of black tea, I feel left out of these reviews mostly because you highlight the wonderful bergamot flave which was abscent on mine :( Just an after taste of it which quickly fades. I like my bergamot natural & well balanced, I’ll keep brewing it & see what happens.

In the world of Earl Grey’s this is the BEST. I highly recommend this to Earl Grey fans.

I’m not usually a fan of scented or flavored teas and Earl Grey has never been high on my list. But this tea is perfect when I want to fill my face with aroma and flavor (and a little milk and sugar to boot). It’s so bold and tasty. Great alone or with some cookies on the side as an after dinner snack.

I love earl grey, cuppa of choice. This has a pleasant and smooth black tea flavor but it’s not very strong on bergamot. It’s enjoyable and tasty but not a Holy Grail earl grey. My husband likes it better than the powdered EG from supermarket-available brands but would like a little more bergamot. Overall; not as good as the EGs from Tealuxe (creme de la earl grey is my HG fave so far.)

Haven’t had this tea for awhile, but I do remember it standing out as a powerful EG. Memorably good.

The Earl Grey White Tip from TeaSource is one of the strongest tasting Earl Grey’s I’ve ever tried. The bergamot flavor is bold and leaves a lingering aftertaste on my palate. The aroma from 1 cup was room filling. Overall a decent tasting brew.
