I’m not so good at classifying the aroma of teas. The description says it’s floral, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it that, but it is definitely pleasing. It’s a bit like Assam, but darker and smoother.
Hu Hong Black
This beautiful, long and wiry leaf from Hunan has a dark floral aroma. It steeps up fairly robust, with strong, sweet notes with a touch of a smooth earthiness. Similar to a classic Yunnan tea, except a brighter flavor profile and without the pronounced silkiness of a Yunnan tea.
