The smell of this in the tin can only be described as divine! The smell of this once it’s steeped, reminds me of cherry ‘hubba bubba’ bubblegum. The taste (imo) is a very light version of that flavor. I also brew this at a lower temp, for a short steep (2-3 min) to avoid the bitterness that can happen with this one. Brewed properly, it’s quite lovely to drink.

I think my water for this one was too warm. It’s a little bitter. I like how light it is. I’m not a big fan of cherry anything but this is nice. I ended up adding a bit of sweetener to combat the bitterness. I’m not blaming the tea on that quite yet as I have yet to invest in a thermometer.

Got this as a sample and I thought I would review it but I should have brewed it Western style as I think Teavana teas are meant to be brewed Western style.
The tea mix itself is really pretty. The tea looks like a green tea but it is supposed to be white. The leaves are a dark moss green and twisted. There are peachy-pink colored dried roses all throughout and it is very pretty to look at.
I put a bit into one of my small gaiwans and only steeped it for a few seconds. This was super bitter :(
Of course, I have been spoiled by the super high quality teas that I have been drinking for a while but I thought this really smelled medicinal cherry syrup and was so bitter— so I don’t know how they get it to taste good. Probably lots and lots of water and sugar :(

Ick, what a shame. Cherry is a wonderful flavor when done correctly. :(

Yeah, I would rather get natural cherry notes from a high quality black tea than an artifiical additive. Oh well, it was free lol. I haven’t purchased Teavana tea in a long time,, since I first started in tea.

Teavana seems in a lot of ways to be like a gateway dealer. They get people their first taste and then from there the true addiction begins. :)

Lee

lol yes and they do sell the Breville One Touch tea maker so they have that going for them lol.

I am a fan of flowery white tea blends and like this one a semi regular in my collection. Mostly rose and white tea, not much cherry going on.

Tea #10 from Considering a new TTB

If I were ten years old and was handed a cup of this blend loaded up with sugar I would have loved it, it tastes just like cherry lifesavers. Fortunately my tastes have evolved since I was ten and I ended up dumping this one out.

Sometimes I wonder what Teavana is thinking when they come up with these blends.

Call me 10 but I would love anything that tastes like cherry lifesavers. :))

Short Sorceress

I wouldn’t have minded it so much, but it smelled like cough syrup

First off, I hate this name…if it hadn’t been a gift it never would’ve made it onto my shelves. :/

Once steeped it smells remarkably like cherry lifesavers – and with my stuffy nose that’s saying something; I haven’t been able to smell properly in days – in an almost overwhelming fashion. It tastes pretty true to the aroma, though…this is cherry candy in a cup, especially with a tsp or two of sugar added in.

It’s not delicious and I wouldn’t go out and buy more but – in a cherry-medicine-flavoured sort of way – it’s not too unpleasant to drink down.

If you like a hidden punch in the face then this is the tea, maybe I infused it a little too long, but the fact of the matter is the flavor in the white tea is a little bitter. it shows up the second you sip it down. Furthermore this is a what I call a Half Body Tea in the way it has a nice mellow taste, but th bitter and strong sweet parts give it a different taste. I recommend this Tea, but I doubt I would get more than 2oz at a time.

This one is definitely an acquired taste. I wasn’t surprised to find so many people disliked this tea. I thought it smelled incredible when I bought it, and once I got it home and steeped it for the first time I didn’t really like it. I found that the problem was that I was steeping it for too long, it really only needs about 2-3 minutes, otherwise it tastes very bitter. Adding a bit of honey was nice too. Overall not a bad tea, just misunderstood.

Mixed feelings- it’s pretty dang strong, but would be good sweetened and iced.

I was so bummed when I brewed this tea. It is by far the worst tasting tea I have ever had-hands down. It is bitter and tastes artificial. I took 3 sips and I can’t take anymore. The cough syrup taste is repulsive. The worst part is that it has candied fruit in it! If you are going to add calories to tea make sure it tastes divine!
