ok- i’m drinking this new concoction hoping it will put me to sleep and prevent me from calling the cops on my noisy dis respectful neighbours! To start off with- i am truly hoping this will work- Lavender Dreams-sounds like fluffy puff clouds and tranquility.i’m a bit taken to see, big pieces of rose buds- actual massive lavender petals and branches of green stuff-i’m not sure if its the white tea or a mixture of flora. i don’t think i can taste much of anything- i will log back in later to let you know if this tea works! wish me luck not rating this yet ……10mins later, i’m feeling sleepy— sad, as soon as i am about to snooze- the upstairs starts again- rudely being awaken
this tea didn’t do it for me- initially, i did feel sleepy, but i guess there too much drama in this apartment to really give this a true rating.I will NOT rate this tea yet…..

I can taste lavender and I can taste white tea and that is pretty much end of story. I’m not a lavender fan so I didn’t finish my cup, but I can see that if you adore lavender then you could really enjoy this one.

I had actually gotten this a while back, but realised I didn’t log it. (or might of just logged it with The Jasmine Sutra.)
But I think it’s only fair to do a tea review for itself.
1st smell: Fresh clean smell. Almost too much of a floral smell, I can certainly see why that puts many people off.
1st taste: Surprisingly, the smell almost put me off from the taste. So I worked on ignoring the scent, while drinking this tea. Now, I could not drink this everyday, (Though really have not found any tea I could drink everyday.) But I’d like to have this on hand for when I need to calm down near to bedtime. I don’t remember what temp and time I did this at, but probably as close to recommendations as I could get.

With the Jasmine Sutra: Simply delicious. I can pretty much only have green teas in the early evening unless I will be staying up late.

Kinda smells like an old lady before being steeped, tastes like lavender, fruit and water once steeped, not my cuppa tea tonight. I think I might like this one as an iced tea, or if I was in a more specific mood. Can’t bring myself to finish the cup. See full review at:

This is a pleasant find, although I must admit I was a bit hesitant about drinking a lavender tea (really makes you rethink HERBAL teas, eh?). Surprisingly, this became one of my favorite teas. I love the lavender flavor – and the fact that the tea brews up a bit purple-y tickles me. However, I can’t drink this all the time – once every few days. It is strong, which is nice in a cup or two, but not all the time.

by any chance have u tasted the earl gray and lavender if you like lavender by revolution teas and i will try this tea . I would like to compare notes since you said you like lavender as i do also XD

KeenTeaThyme

I’m normally not an Earl Grey fan, but I’ll try it. :) I have a friend who loves Earl Grey so I always give leftovers to her. She hasn’t purchased her own EG in years! :)

Azure Luna

never mind then, i’m sorry i didn’t know that you didn’t like earl gray so sorry about that

I was a little worried about this tea becuase it smelled so strongly of lavender. I do not like lavender at all. The smell for some reason makes me nauseous. I can usually drink/eat something with lavender as long as the lavender is not too strong.

I figured I had to give the tea a try anyway.

Brewed the tea smells of sweet lavender. Less strong as the dry tea.

The tea tastes sweet. The lavender is definitely the prominent taste.

I couldn’t really finish the cup of this one. Its not a bad tea. I think it is actually a good blend. But I just can’t get over my dislike of lavender.

I was not impressed with this tea. I love floral teas and lavender is one of my favorites. Sub-par lavender taste and the white tea is there…but it’s also so-so. Definitely not worth the price.

I received this tea as a gift as I normally wouldn’t buy a tea that reminds me of soap. The scent and taste of this tea is nothing to be enjoyed and I’m wondering what to do with the rest of the 2 oz I have of it. I rather stay up all night than drink it!

I don’t really understand lavender teas. I’ve tried tons of stuff with lavender and it always ruins the cup for me. Seems that this tea is a BIG hit or HUGE miss for people.

CupofTree

Yes, definitely hit or miss! I think its why I don’t like Earl Grey either. I wish I could develop a taste for it but I just can’t. It smells and tastes like soap to me :(

^ Agree! I just tried it the other day for the first time…had an instinctual dislike for it and never tried it (actually didn’t even know what bergamot smelled like). The moment I took my first sip I knew my instincts were right. Haha

Ordered this on a whim because I had in my mind that perfect evening of quiet bliss, just enjoying my perfect cup of tea. I will admit that the scent of the tea made me a little wary about actually drinking it because it is a very fragrant tea and is not fruity like many that I like. Anyhow, after two days of calling off work sick I decided to make this tea to lull me to sleep. I have to say I like it much more than I thought I would. The strong lavender scent is mostly dissipated after steeping but can still be tasted. Its a light tasting tea but also tastes strong at the same time (I’m thinking a second steep will prove to be better for me). I can’t say that it is making me sleepy (could be the medicine) but I’ll try it again once I’m better and comment on that.

Overall it is a nice tea, but not something I would drink all day or even on a daily basis. More one of those “me time” teas.

Interesting balance between the lavender and the white tea. The loose leaves have a strong lavender scent, but this is almost totally missing from the brewed tea. However, you do get a definite taste of lavender from the brewed tea, which stays with you in the aftertaste.

I can’t really get away from calling this tea floral because, well, it is. The floral taste doesn’t overpower the tea while it’s hot or warm, and I really enjoyed it prepared like this. However, the lavender does start to become too much as the tea gets colder, so I suspect this one wouldn’t work nearly as well iced as it does hot.
