I went into Teavana looking for the Swiss Vervaine, and I managed to snag the last pound of it that my store had. Success! I’m really sad to see that one go – I can see why it might not have sold well, but it was definitely my go-to sick tea. I wanted to smell the CocoCaramel Sea Salt, because it just sounded so weird, but they were all out of that one for the holidays, so the associate asked if I wanted to smell this one instead. Sure, why not.

It smelled good, so I got 2oz of it and took it home. I finally got around to brewing it – and there’s hibiscus.

I don’t smell it, I don’t really taste it, but in a blend that is so almondy and caramelly, it’s downright bizarre that the drink is pink. On top of that, I had a feeling that this would be best with milk, so now it looks like Pepto-Bismol. If I don’t look at the tea while I drink it, it tastes good. But I just can’t get past the pink liquor. It’s like green ketchup. I can’t do it.

Edit I was lazy and didn’t actually look at the ingredients… Turns out its not The Hib at all. It makes sense. It’s beetroot pieces. Still weirdly pink though.

I’d like to thank DAVIDsTEA for creating this blend. Yes this is from Teavana but apparently its the same exact tea as Forever nuts. I’ve never had Forever Nuts and I guess I can say now I have!

Brewed this yesterday in my new cast iron green teapot that my boyfriend got me for our 8th anniversary yesterday, I LOVE it. http://instagr.am/p/RN18MMLPLV/ have to take better pic soon.
The tea is pretty and pink and of course we had to add some almond milk for fun. The smell of the tea is so sweet and I just couldn’t place what it reminded me of. He kept saying cinnamon toast crunch, which has to be my all time favorite cereal, but I wasn’t so sure that the tea smelled like it. Perhaps because it was hot…

Anyway we drank it and it tasted like happiness and it will remind me of our awesome day together. :)

EDIT: So after getting home and sniffing the leftover tea from yesterday, and now that its cooled, it does smell like CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH! I am in love.

Will Work For Tea

This is TEAlicious!!!!

I do have to disagree with the naming of this. I really don’t taste the caramel here. The main characters are almond and cinnamon.

Like others have said this is very close to DT’s Forever Nuts in both smell and taste. It does taste a little more cinnamon-y to me though. Teavana’s version is just a tad more expensive (like $.00576856 more per gram) – kind of a wash really. :)

I love the pink hue this brews up! And the smell reminds me of passing by a kiosk in the mall selling those sweet, roasted almonds in a paper cone! Mmmmmmmm!

Hooray! A tea from Teavana I actually like! But…like others have said, it tastes exactly like Forever Nuts from DAVIDsTEA…only it has more extras for visual appeal, and probably to make the tea heavier by weight.

I had an opportunity to smell this one in-store. The scent strongly resembles Forever Nuts by David’s Tea.

This… is Forever Nuts from David’s Tea. No, actually. Same ingredients, same exact flavor.
So obviously this tea is DELICIOUS, but I’m wondering how they got away with this… lol! Coincidence?
Anyway, like Forever Nuts, steep this tea twice as long as recommended. It’s yummy!

This tea smelled AMAZING loose. A friend of mine had bought it, and when I went to visit her earlier this weekend she let me try it. I took a big whiff, and was absolutely mesmerized by the almond-cinnamon-sugar cookie smell. I steeped myself a large cup of this one, using two full scoops instead of 1 1/2. It steeped up a wacky candied apple kind of color—bright pinkish red, with some few hints of yellow mixed in. Anyway, I took it with me to the couch to let it cool off, sniffing as I went. There was a LOT of sweetness, totally adding to the whole candied apple picture, with some hints of cinnamon. I realized that I couldn’t smell the almond quite anymore, but I wasn’t worried.

I took my first sip… and then took another one, just to be sure. Yep, it was still there. This tea had the completely unmistakeable taste of oatmeal. Apple flavored oatmeal. With maybe a LITTLE caramel in there somewhere. No almond, not even a little. I looked through the reviews, and no one else seems to have had that experience with this tea, but… it was uncanny how much this tea made me think I was drinking oatmeal. It was a little bland, too, like someone had forgotten to put cinnamon in the oatmeal, or had tried but not put enough. I do encourage you to try it yourself, because your taste buds might not react the same way mine did. I don’t think I’ll be buying this one, but I’m glad I got to try it. I may give it another go at a later point, maybe blended with something else.

I like this, but it wasn’t really what I was looking for. First of all, there’s very little caramel in it, to the point where I was like “Really? You put caramel in the name?”. It mostly tastes to me like apples, cinnamon, and almonds; I’m not sure where the “Amaretti” comes from if they already have “Almond” in the name. For a delicious tea, its name sure is a liar. That aside, though, it’s pretty good. Very cinnamon-apple, neither of which I am really a fan of on their own, but I’m not going to judge Teavana for that (or, I guess, DavidsTea, since that’s where everyone’s saying the recipe was ripped off from) since that’s pretty much just what the blend was going for. It’s a very winter-holiday tea. The only thing I don’t like about it is the beetroot. I think I had another Teavana blend with beetroot in it, and just…I don’t like it in tea, it’s so loud and sour and even if it plays well with other ingredients, that sucks if the other ingredients are what you’re drinking the damn tea for.

In conclusion, not perfect but tasty! Probably won’t buy it again, but what I have is going fast.

This one is my favorite breakfast tea so far. I’m going to try Forever Nuts to see how it compares.

Yes. This is a nice copy cat of Forever Nuts. At Teavana they have this big tins. They shake them and the smell that comes out is very attractive.
It looks more beautiful than Forever nuts and apparently Teavana does not used artificial flavoring.
I had a cup to go but it was money down the drain because it tasted exactly like a tea that I am so familiar with.

This is a really good tea! I can’t comment on any specifics because I drank it last night, but it was definitely a good tea. It surprised me. I thought it would turn out incredibly weak, no matter how I made it. It actually had a good balance of flavors, and I’m curious to see what a teeny bit of sweetener might do for it.

That’s funny everyone is saying it’s just like Forever Nuts! I ordered from DavidsTea for the first time last week, and I’m still waiting for my order to arrive. I considered trying Forever Nuts, but my local tea shop gets in a similar blend around October or November so I opted not too. Sometimes I hate spending money on such heavy teas because they just don’t go very far! But if it can satisfy a craving for sweets I have no problem spending the money.

I’m just not quite sure this one would satisfy a craving for sweets like my favorite winter tea, Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride. :)

Overall, I’m not super disappointed that this is just a seasonal tea. But I am definitely excited to try it again.

OH, and if I remember correctly I used one tablespoon of tea for around 8 ounces? But I can’t remember how long I steeped it for? Probably around 6-10 minutes. I was worried that totally over-steeping this one would make the flavors too imbalanced so I was pretty careful with it.

Wow, this tea tastes exactly like Forever Nuts from David’s Tea.

I love this tea! One of my favorites. The cinnamon and apple come on really strong, in a good way. I never taste any hint of Caramel though, despite that being in the name. Oh well. I let this one steep for a little longer than it says it requires, especially for the second brew. I also add in under a tsp of German rock sugar. I need my tea sweet.

It’s also caffeine free, according to teavana, which is perfect. I gave up soda and don’t want to get hooked again, and my fiance gets headaches from caffeine. This was just another plus.

this has struck me as pretty meh-tastic. I don’t taste caramel at all. the strong notes are almond and cinnamon and I find the whole taste to be a little weird and not living up to all the hype that the employees at teavana kept playing up about it. I probably won’t be buying it again. might not even brew the rest of what I have. meh.

Tastes exactly like a cinnamon bun, and is easily my favourite to make a latte from when I go to work. The best combo: this tea, vanilla soy milk, and a shot of chocolate syrup!

Despite the confusion this tea creates with its name and pink color, it’s one of my favorites, especially when blended with CocoCaramel Sea Salt.

Glad to hear I can get it from David’s Tea when Teavana doesn’t have it beyond the holidays! ;)

I made a cup blended with CocoCaramel Sea Salt, and on a whim, decided to add some hazelnut creamer. The result was pretty good, though a tad too sweet for my taste (my husband loved it, but I won’t add the rock sugar if I’m planning to put creamer in it next time).

As Michelle pointed out, adding milk makes it look like Pepto-Bismol, but since I added CocoCaramel Sea Salt, it kind of looks like……a pinkish brownish Pepto. Color aside, it’s pretty good.

I was at Teavana yesterday trying to find teas to buy. When I smelled this tea, it smelled so delicious so I had to buy it! It reminds me of cake or bread or something of that sort. When I poured the boiling water on the tisanes, the water turned into a beautiful pink colour which I was not expecting! I hear this tea is seasonal so I can just buy this tea at David’s Tea since I hear Caramel Almond Amaretti is just like Forever Nuts. What kind of disappointed me is I taste no caramel and I love caramel.
