Blueberry Bliss

Fruit Rooibos Blend by Teavana

The distinctive tart flavor of blueberries married to the fresh citrus taste of green Rooibos make this tea pure joy in a cup. It’s also delicious mixed with other Rooibos or white teas for a blended treat!

How to Prepare
Use 1.5 teaspoons of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to 208 degrees and steep for 5-6 minutes. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.
Ingredients:
Green Rooibos, blueberries, grapes, rosehips, hibiscus, red beet root and black currants.

I’m tempted to dock them a whole bunch of points for overcharging me by a ton on the loose tea that I bought at the same time, and putting way more in the bag than I initially asked for. Anyway, I generally dislike the way Teavana does business, but it’s the only tea shop in the mall, and if I’m in the mall then an iced tea is my consolation prize. So I got the Blueberry Bliss to go, iced in addition to my loose tea.

This one is really, really good iced. I’d probably hate it hot, but I love the combination of cold and blueberry-roobois. I picked this having had prior good experiences with this type of flavor. The SA seemed really confused that I didn’t want it sweetened and commented that Western women didn’t usually take their tea plain (She was Vietnamese). What can I say? I like unsweetened iced tea. Anyway, I’d drink this again… next time I’m in the maul- that is if I decide to give Teavana any more business.

Backlogging for this afternoon:
Very fruity green rooibos! Nice and light not too heavy on the tea boldness but has a nice blackcurrent flavor! Had this one ICED and it was beautiful. Even for non tea lovers, it’s a nice summer drink on a hot day. Like Rabs said earlier, gotta go through a few not so good ones to get a good one! This was so true today! Absolutly delicious, reminded me of like a blueberry lemonade but not too tart, just a little. Ahhh just so darn refrehing! A nice thumbs up from me :)

This is not a favorite of mine as a hot drink. It is much better cold and even best when blended with some Earl Grey or Earl Grey Creme. However, I like the nice full flavor profile and that it is both naturally sweet and tart——though not too tart like many blends that contain hibiscus.

Regarding the dry tea: the blueberries clumped together a bit and made it hard to measure what seemed to be a fair quantity of fruit vs. rooibos. However, I must have gotten the proportions right. It’s nice and smooth and fruity—not a bit of tart. Rooibos is one of those funny ingredients that only goes with certain things, but blueberries work. Great chilled.

This is very delightful – and aptly named as well. Many berry-flavored brews are heavy on the hibiscus, but this one stays tamely tart. I enjoy hot or iced, but with a pinch of sweetener if it’s hot. I got this when I exchanged a bag of peppermint from the recall, ended up paying only $2 for 4 ounces. I’m also in love with the green rooibos as it’s low in caffeine but high in flavor. Overall: definitely decent.

I really enjoy this one hot – although it’s great iced and blended with Strawberry Lemonade too. I’m a huge fan of blueberries and this tastes like fresh blueberries – not freeze-dried, petrified or HIBISCUS-ladden berries.

It’s also pretty sweet – and no, folks, I did not put in any sweetener like usual. (GASP) Perhaps the plump berries help with that.

This reminds me of summer and lazy days. Perfect for today’s crappy weather day (it’s rainy and gross).

I will start out by being very honest, I hate blueberry flavouring. I like fresh blueberries, but I hate blueberry flavouring and scents. So I knew outright I was not going to like this tea. It came as part of my tea of the month club.

I think the best I can say about this tea is it does taste exactly like artificial blueberry flavouring. Like the kind they use in cereals, ice cream, lip gloss, etc.

I do not like it.

Tried this in store with the pineapple kona pop. This tastes like fruit juice. I like blueberries, but there were a lot of extra flavours. Maybe I would like it better iced, with less sugar.

This tea is okay by itself but is much better when used to enhance the flavor of other iced teas

So good. I am normally not a rooibos fan because of the high astringency factor, but there’s none of that here. It’s all sweet fruity goodness with just enough tartness to keep things interesting. No caffeine… no sugar… and I may go make myself another cup. Watch out people, this could be a sign of the end times. :)

I drank this all weekend. I drank it hot. I drank it iced. Both were great. This is, by far, one of my favorite tisanes. I think one of the only draw backs is that the smell of the dry tea is so strong. My entire house smelled like blueberry for a while. I didn’t mind it so much, (there are much worse things a house can smell like!) but it bothered my husband. Even so, this will be a mainstay in my cupboard. I’ll just do my best to make it while my husband is at work. ; )

This was my afternoon iced tea. Delicious and nice to sip while watching my kids play at the park. I added a bit of sugar this time, but the tea is sweet enough on its own. Next time I’ll leave the sugar out.

Received this in a traveling tea box (not Steepster’s). I love rooibos, I love blueberries, sounded like a great mix. Chose it to break in my brand new single-serving french press (I like to give the leaves lots of room – only put the plunger halfway down to pour).

Smooth, refreshing, sweet but not too much. The green rooibos is not as earthy as the red. I will be trying this iced as well!!

I was in the mood for something fruity, but not too fruity. I’m hoping that this is the right blend for tonight. I haven’t drunk this blend too often, but I remember it as being reasonably acceptable.

With 5 drops of vanilla stevia (I know, but I crave sweets) this becomes a sort of grown up koolaid. It’s fruity, but the rooibos gives it a more sophisticated flavor. It’s not a blend where the rooibos stands out, but it definitely adds to the flavor. If you get this, consider using a bag to brew it. The rooibos goes through a lot infusers.

With Weight-to-Go! this morning. A super fruity concoction, even keeping the sugar as low as reasonable. I’m really enjoying this – it’s a fantastic wake-up tea. Quite complex, and each sip is giving me a different mix of the fruit flavors. I think I’d like to do the same thing, but with a dash of Earl Grey? Hmm. Next time.

Blended with Strawberry Rose Champagne. I made it a bit too strong, so I threw in a couple of ice cubes. Fantastic, as always.

Smelling of blueberries instantly and wheat, this tea was fantastic! It reminded me of blueberry flavoured mini wheats cereal (of all things). At first sip, you get a big fat, juicy hit of blueberry and currant flavours with nice subtle notes of hay, pine and wheat from the green rooibos! Overall a pleasant tea. It is also absolutely delicious iced with a bit of added sweetness! The berries just pop right out!

11 down – 489 to go!

Ok I can taste the blueberry flavor….but it isn’t as tart as I thought it would be. I can’t even taste the green Rooibos. But I must say it is helping me get through this afternoon (that is dragggging).

I thoroughly enjoyed this tea. I bought it totally “on the fly” which is something I rarely do with tea and was pleasantly surprised at the rich, fruity taste. I now drink with iced with some of their German rock sugar.

Tastes heavenly and sweet as an iced tea… for an added effect, I let blueberries sit in the pitcher until it’s finished off.

If you like sweet blueberry flavour, than this is the tea for you. And when I say sweet I don’t mean fake, because it does taste like you’re biting into the fruit after they’ve been sprinkled with sugar.

I usually drink this one hot but as I waited for my morning cup to steep I decided to toss some of this in the fridge to have iced tonight. It cold steeped over twelve hours in the fridge and mmmm. Definitely doing that one again.

Cold steeped this one last night so I could take it to work today in my jug. Even after a litre of it I wasn’t sick of the flavour. Sadly I used the last of the leaf I had to make it.

Iced today, cold brewed and unsweetened. Nom.

This is the little black dress of Teavana teas. It goes with absolutely everything. Caramel Almond Amaretti? You get a blueberry muffin. Pineapple Kona Pop? Sure, why not. Literally, EVERYTHING this tea is added to turns magical. It’s a tea I’ll buy over and over again.

A fresh and sweet taste, it’s a unique addition to my pantry. It’s sweet with gentle notes of flavor that runs down smooth. A great buy from Teavana; no regrets yet! s saying something.

I really enjoy this tea in the summer since it blends well with a lot of other teas to make delicious iced teas. I’ve steeped it with Pineapple Kona Pop in 8oz of water for 10 minutes, 2 tsp of rock sugar and add 8oz of ice and it is fantastic! It is great with Teavana’s Lemon Lime Kampai Rooibos and Wild Orange Blossom, brewed the same as previously stated. Steeping it for 10 minutes in these blends did not taste bitter to me at all, and this tea seems pretty versatile for experimenting with other fruity blends if you like variety. The tea also wasn’t bad hot, but it is so refreshing iced that I prefer it iced.
