I’ve had this around for a while and evidently forgot to log it… and I think Teavana seems to have discontinued it because I don’t see it on their website anymore.

So those of you who follow my tealog may know I’m not such a fan of jasmine tea, I believe it has taken me a few months to fully realize this over time after trying it a few different ways and with a few different kinds.

This blend is not too bad though, it’s a nice medium bodied black tea which I think helps to disguise some of the jasmine for me. :) It is very nice and smooth going down but then I get that kick in the end where I feel like I’m drinking soap (seems to happen all the time to me with jasmine).

This certainly smells nice but I feel like I need some soymilk to help me get it down. I will certainly finish it off someday but if any jasmine fans would like to swap for it, you will probably appreciate it a lot more than I do.

I’m at the end of my sampling from Amy O and I have realized that I have not written about this one yet. For shame on me. I have said in many of my tasting notes that I love jasmine. It’s comforting, invigorating, and is just one of those aromas and tastes that seems to put me at ease. However I have never had it combined with a black tea. This however is quite delicious. The jasmine has a good presence but not overwhelming and the black tea is quite exceptional. Which is a little disappointing since this is one that Teavana has discontinued….seems to be a trend with me. I find ones that I really like from Teavana and they discontinue them. Bummer. Usually the black blend teas that I have tried from Teavana are okay in quality. This one seems really good though. Alas I will miss this one and miss the opportunity to add it to my cupboard to enjoy.

Mmm, a great tea to finish the day with. I’m sticking to our tried-and-true teas more and more nowadays, because I just don’t have time or energy to devote to trying new ones lately. I do have a few new ones to try, courtesy of IrishBreakfastLass and darby, and I will get to them, but for now, with as cRaZy as life has been, it’s enough for me to just make the teas I know I like. I feel like sticking to something familiar will help me deal with all the crazy. :) Like the mound of research papers I have to grade before the night is out. Onward and up!

I bought this for my friend a long time ago for her birthday because I knew she loved jasmine tea. I was visiting her house just the other day and she made some of this iced with just a little bit a sugar. Maybe it was the utter refreshment of something cold to drink, but this tea was awesome. VERY heavy on the jasmine, but it went very well with the ice and sugar. As much as I want to dislike Teavana, I found myself enjoying this tea. I might have to pick some of this up next time I’m around a Teavana.

Taken with sugar.
Good flavor. I feel like it needs sugar to make the jasmine pop and to smooth out the astringency in the black tea but it definitely doesn’t need milk which is nice. Not needing milk seems to be a sign of quality so good marks there.
The jasmine seems to over run the black tea on flavor though. It is not a balanced tea where you can taste both equally. Instead the jasmine is in the absolute spot light and the black tea doesn’t feel as developed as it could have been. Which is also a mark of quality so bad marks there.
The weirdest thing though is that lack of mouth feel from the black tea. I can feel the jasmine but the black under flavor seems washed out and without texture.
So this is a light tea with strong jasmine flavor.
Not over powering.
But in a sense not all there.

Chose this a while back while ordering online – to get to the $50 free shipping mark – and quite liked it. It’s a strong jasmine black, but I quite like jasmine teas so I don’t mind. I love the aroma and the flavor, though I steep for just 2 minutes or it’s too strong for me. Really, a good floral black, one of the cheaper Teavana teas and well worth the price. Caution: if you buy it in the Teavana store, don’t let them talk you into buying a whole pound!

I don’t like jasmine tea unless the jasmine is one note among many. This is all jasmine all the time so not one of my favourites. However, I could taste straight away that it is a high quality black tea, and you can always taste the difference between a tea that is scented with real jasmine flowers like this one, than those sprayed with scented water/oil. If you like jasmine, you absolutely must try this tea. It’ll be everything you want; trust me.

Might be a little biased since this was my first introduction to loose leaf tea but of the few other teas I’ve brewed this still remains my absolute favorite. The scent of jasmine is like something out of a dream. I love having a big mug full of this right before bed. Hopefully I have the means by which to stock up soon since Teavana has already announced that it will be discontinued shortly. Sweeten with: raw clover honey.

I usually do not like Jasmine tea, especially not by itself, however this new one from Teavana is different. Not to say that it is not Jasmine, but the black tea with the Jasmine is not overpowering and absolutely delicious hot. I am trying it cold brewed also, I will update when I try it tomorrow.

So good! I love the fact that there are jasmine flowers in it, not just jasmine scent. My favorite new black tea.

I must admit, I am not a fan of Teavana. Not at all, but gosh darnit I LOVE this tea. It’s strong and delicate at the same time. Like a 250lb linebacker holding a teddy bear. I recommend this tea to those who do not mind boldly floral flavors.

I love Jasmine. This is my favorite black tea. The Jasmine is fragrant and sweet. With a good quality black tea as a base. Couldn’t ask for more.

A very smooth, mild Jasmine. Wow, a lot of Jasmine! My previous experience with Jasmine tea has mostly been limited to Chinese resturaunts, so this is a big step up. My brew is not astringent, nor acidic. Its very light. However, as others have mentioned, the Jasmine basically overpowers any tea flavor.

Backlogging this from this morning. WOW! a thousand mountains of Jasmine in this tea. The Jasmine was extremely strong, without the cloying sweetness that you get from the fresh flowers. The tea underneath was a good quality, but I think it’s flavor was largely drowned by the Jasmine. Still, good enough that the tea was excellent even after it had cooled to room temp. I think this would make a nice, light ice tea. Others have said sugar would help the Jasmine…I drank it without and didn’t think the Jasmine needed any help. In fact, the tea is kind of sweet on its own…probably the real Jasmine flowers they use to flavor it. I did use a bit more tea than the 1tsp recommended..about 1 1/2.
