From Teavana

A rare tea from the Dongting Mountains of China. Grown in the shade of apricot, plum and peach trees, the tea leaves absorb the delicate scent of the fruit blossoms. The youngest tea buds and leaves are harvested and rolled into a “snail-like” shape.

How to Prepare
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to 175-180 degrees and steep tea for 1 minute. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.
Ingredients:
Pure green tea.

Light, smooth tea. I enjoy this tea iced or hot. This is one of my daughter’s favorite teas. I have only tried Pi Lo Chun from Teavana but I would like to try some from different vendors to compare.

It has grown on me…a little. I guess my least favorite thing about it is the smoky flavour. I do however enjoy the body and liquour color. Some dummy at Teavana said it would be a good sub for 9 Treasures. Huh? A Pi Lo Chun for a fruited Puerh Green?

This tea is not what I expected. It’s very soft with a subtle smoky aftertaste. It really has some snap to it despite how smooth a cup it brews up. It’s nice but not one of my favourites.

very light tea but pleasant if brewed properly. would not recommend using Teavana’s instructions as they do not really cover the proper way to make this tea. For more flavor and a better brew use 1 heaping teaspoon to 5.5 oz of water for 1-1/2 mins at 165-175F.

Tea has a nice sweet aftertaste with a buttery palate. Would like to try a higher quality one from another vendor.

Above average green tea. Definitely a smokey after taste but the flavor overall is very subtle. I steep about 1 min. This is the only Pi Lo Chun I’ved tried, so will try from other vendors to compare.

Light and pleasant Chinese green tea with very subtle fruit aroma because it is shade grown next to peach trees. It is good iced and hot. Makes a nice iced tea when blended with Precious White Peach (Teavana).

Tried this today while shopping in Easton in Columbus at the Teavana store and really enjoyed it. Light but flavorful, definitely recommend. This was actually my first Pi Lo Chun.
