I love mint tea and I love lime tea, and of course I love mojitos, but the balance of flavours in this tea just doesn’t work for me. The lime overpowers the mint. I’ve tried it iced and didn’t enjoy it any more that way, unfortunately
I like to think I’m not a tea “snob” in that, I really don’t mind trying teas from more generic companies. In other words, I’m sincerely attracted to flavors more so than brands… and for the sake of this tea, boy am I glad! I discovered it over the summer, and it made the perfect summer-flavored tea! And moving into November, it’s still one of my go-to favorites. I can’t help but adore the balance of mint with lime, but I will admit I might be biased by how much I love mint, and I would say that the mint flavor is a shy bit stronger than lime in this tea.
I also happen to appreciate that this tea comes in one of the little tins, in bags. If I’m on my way out of the house with an empty mug (god forbid!) and I don’t have time to fuss with loose leaf, this is what I toss into my bag.
I love the lively and slightly sweet combination of lime, mint, and honey; which are, admittedly, three of my favourite flavours for anything. I will confess that it took me +6 months to actually try the tea after I discovered its existence because I was skeptical. However, I am really happy with the resulting tea and I’m so glad I gave it a go! Note: I have only tried it hot.
I was intrigued by this tea because of the unusual flavour – as with most of the teas from this herbal line, but I did not enjoy this one.
The taste was just…Blegh. Definitely not my kind of tea.
When it comes to bagged tea, I don’t have a lot anymore. This is one of the few you’ll still find on my shelf.
I like the mix of mint and lime. I find I like it better iced rather than hot.
Slightly strange combination of flavors for a hot drink, I think. However, I believe it could be very nice in an iced tea non-alcoholic mojito version for summer.
Interesting taste. I like the kick of lime at the end.
Great tea for settling a stomach, do NOT squeeze the teabag or it will taste bad.
Nice mint but overpowered by “lime,” not harmonious, mildly acrid
