Another one that work has. I didn’t taste the chocolate at all. If anything it tasted more like the Vanilla bean chai than it did chocolate. Wasn’t impressed by this one at all.

I get that all the time!!! A “chocolate” tea that tastes like vanilla! uncool :/

First of all, MY GOD IS THIS EVER BAD. OK, now that I let that out, let me start this tasting note. I went to the supermarket and grabbed two cans of Tetley chai teas, dark chocolate and vanilla flavored. I said to myself “Why not? They’re only $2 for 20 bags each! Sweet deal huh?” and it HAD been a long time since I drank Tetley. Well, I should have just kept it that way. The finished tea smelled like Gummy bears(???) for some reason and when I took that first sip, I immediately frowned and resisted the impulse to blurt out a swear word or two. It tasted rancid and absolutely disgusting, and there was no tea flavour at all either. I steeped two bags, so quantity couldn’t be at fault here, only quality. Well, it’s just so bad that I’m going to throw it all out and I will be returning the other can of Tetley so that I can get my $2 back. This totally ruined my mood now and I’m going to go and make myself another cup of actual tea. This is probably going to be the worst tea I tried, and it’ll probably stay that way for a long, long time :(

LOL. Sorry it was so awful.

I’m not into this one either it’s more carob than chocolate. The Vanilla one I heard is much better.

Wow! SUPER spicy, though not much chocolate :(
Still, a very good Chai blend with a subtle after-taste of cocao. I’d drink it again on a chilly day.

Note quite chocolate-y enough, however if you throw this in some warming milk and additional spices, it’s quite good.

Brought this to work. Was pretty happy with it for the first few bags but became quite boring after that. The chocolate doesn’t really come through. Wouldn’t buy again.

I HAVE A NEW GIANT MUG.

It’s a Cheshire cat one. It’s big, it’s non-microwavable (which is a shame but a sacrifice that I am willing to make) and it is very smiley. My parents asked me which one I wanted, as a souvenir of their trip to Disney World. They just came home and I have it in hand and I love it.

I wanted a chocolatey tea today, and this is one that I haven’t had lately, so I’m using it to christen. I know that these teas are a little weak sometimes, and this is a GIANT MUG, so I decided to use two teabags. So far, I’m not regretting that decision.

I actually wasn’t expecting it to be as chocolatey as it is — I can actually taste the dark chocolate, which I appreciate. Admittedly, I’m not sure what I think about it as a chai — the dark chocolate taste is accented with spices, but even clear it doesn’t seem… chai-y enough? I don’t know. I seem to remember it being a little muddled with milk last time I tried it, but it’s been a while, so I should probably try it again before really commenting on that. Alone, though, it’s working well enough for me.

I love getting new mugs! so glad you’re loving it.

My sister has one just like it, and I keep on stealing it (I use it more than her actually). So I’m very glad to have one of my own now — I’ll only have to borrow hers when mine is in need of a wash now. ;)
New mugs and tea cups are the best though. They always make me smile. I’m glad I’m not the only one!

okay so i just brewed a cup of this and added a splash of milk and a small amount of sugar like I do with all my other chai teas….. WELL this is disgusting, the after taste is this gross chocolatey taste. I don’t taste any of the spices or anything at all… might make it again and see how it tastes black but not too sure

Um … it works with cocoa, milk, and honey. I like it that way. Glad that it’s priced reasonably. It’s my usual brew. Not bad for mass-produced.

Bitter. Neither the chocolate nor chai were convincing flavour-wise.
