A little info about jasmine
The blossoms of the jasmine plant are usually very fragrant. These blossoms are what make each cup of tea an aromatic delight.
I don’t think I oversteeped but I made a jug for iced tea, it was way too bitter even with lots of agave so, yeah! It wasn’t even so much that it was bitter, but that it was VERY flowery in cold form.
I’m going to stick to drinking this tea hot. Hot, it’s relaxing, calming and very tasty. :)
I’m going to mix the rest of the jug with some Strawberry Daquiri mix I have and make it into popsicles.
I drink loose leaf jasmine most of the time – but if thats just not available, Tetley makes a pretty good bagged jasmine. Good balance of lightness and bitterness, and it doesn’t get too bitter if I leave the bag in too long. Quick and tasty
As a frequent drinker of floral jasmine green teas, I was rather disappointed in this version. The jasmine is subdued and becomes bitter very easily.
Today I steeped this Jasmine green tea perfectly. About three minutes. No bitterness. I don’t normally touch caffeine, but hopefully this will do the drink to help me concentrate today.
Never steep for recommended 8 min.
