Phew!

I can’t say as I’m a fan of these ingredients dry! BUT I can smell HONEY, Chamomile, and Citrus…intensely AND since that is what it’s called…I guess one can’t complain! The scent is true to the name of the tisane. You can clearly see ALL of the ingredients.

The post-infusion liquid is much more pleasant to my nose! It’s much more mellow and relaxing. The Chamomile is still in front but that could be because I usually don’t run-right-to chamomile. It’s assisted by the Honey and Lemon scents and those are perfectly scented in my honest opinion.

It’s light to medium ‘see-thru’ brown in color.

The actual taste is pretty nice! It’s floral BUT I think the additional flowers help it so it’s not ALL ABOUT the Chamomile…which I totally appreciate! The Lemon is definitely present and singing! The honey is nice, too! The honey’s sweetness paired with the Rooibos natural sweetness seem to doe-see-doe with each other. There is a slight medicine-E taste underneath but it’s not very loud.

I’m so glad I was able to try this and very glad that I didn’t refrain from trying it based on the dry blend scent. It’s pretty good – considering I don’t usually go for these types. I really think the Rooibos and Lemon made it better for me and my tastes.

This one gets a grin from me!

I’m kind of on the fence about this tea, so I’m not going to give it a numeric rating just yet.

I like the idea behind this tea – because back before I discovered the joy of tea, I used to drink hot water with a squeeze of lemon and a drizzle of honey when I had a sore throat to help soothe it. This is kind of that same, soothing idea, but with some other ingredients to make it a little more interesting than a cup of hot water with lemon and honey.

It’s ok, but I can’t say I love this one. I will give it another chance in a few days or so and see if I like it better. It’s not bad… just not my favorite right now.

Received some great news tonight. Felt like celebrating by enjoying a cuppa rooibos while watching the series finale of Gossip Girl.

This was one of the many generous sample I received in my holiday sampler box from Nicole. I LOVE this tea! It doesn’t have the greatest of reviews here on Steepster, but I’d like this to be on my shelf always :)

It is wonderfully honey flavored with a hint of lemon. I like that the honey is the dominant flavor. Honey has always been a favorite of mine. It needs to become the sweetener I use more often with tea. I can barely taste the rooibos, but I think it works as a base. It is calling for a second steeping.

Kim, you need to come over tomorrow night for a cuppa :)

Still enjoying the sample of this Nicole sent me. It’s definitely a top tea for me. I like how smooth and simple it is. A pleasant cuppa for a dreary day.

Sipdown :( Super sad face here. This tea was absolutely delicious and I’m sad to see it go. Even more sad that it’s been out of stock at Boston Tea for a couple of months. I hope they restock sometime.

I did find the Bentley’s bagged version of this. It’s just not as good. It will have to do from now on.

I probably should have chosen my Scottish Toffee Pu-erh to complement my watching of Monarch of the Glen, but I wanted to finish up this last sample of the day :) I love this show & this tea!

hello added flavors. organic is no excuse for too much. I don’t like when the actual plant material, be it tea leaf or herb, is completely masked by added flavors, and this one is a classic example of it. I taste the flavors of honey, lemon and chamomile, not the actual honey, chamomile or lemon. Does that make sense?

I normally don’t care for rooibos at all, but this is a lovely chamomile blend. I like chamomile with vanilla and honey and this has those tastes already.
