Fantastic tea for the afternoon, after dinner desert tea or as a kickstart first thing in the morn. Loads of body with a great natural sweetness. Strong flavours of malt, sugarcane, caramel and molasses. Fairly forgiving if oversteeped. Overall a very strong but smooth tea. Easily my favourite black tea at the moment.
2009 Yunnan Feng Qing Dian Hong Wai Shi Li Cha
This 2009 first flush black tea is made from high quality leaves from the Feng Qing region of Yunnan. The tea is composed of a high percentage of golden buds but with enough larger leaves to give it a deep and rich flavour.
A perfect everyday drinking tea for those who appreciate hongcha.
