Typing this on my work iPad so you’ll have to check my blog later for full detail and pictures

1 teabag
6 ounces filtered boiling water
5 minutes

Dry leaf smell – berry tart lime
Tea smell – tart, berry, lime, sweet
Tea – tart berry (hibiscus) lime
Full body
After taste is sweet

Good enough I’ll enjoy the rest, but it seems like it would be better as not a tea, perhaps a pie or jello?

Served hot

Thanks for the sample Meghann M

Had this as an ICED Sample at Wegmans tonight. Again, pleasantly surprised at the Hibiscus mellowness but VERY happy…with the Key Lime Pairing it’s certainly something I could get used to ICED specifically. YUM. No…you aren’t in a Tales From The Crypt Episode…I really AM rating a Hibiscus tisane this high (based on ICED).

Having this iced this morning with a 1/2 tsp of sugar. This makes a flavorful, tart hibiscus tea with a beautiful bright red liquor. I taste a light lime that blends smoothly with the hibiscus. If I had to choose, the Pineapple Lychee wins by a few teabags. But both are delicious. I think I tried this hot, but it looks like I didn’t bother to log it :(

Had this iced with 1/2 Minute Maid light Lemonade. YUM. Really brought out the citrus-lime flavor and sweetened up the hibiscus. I really like how RoT does hibiscus. I may have to get more of their hibiscus blends soon!

Enjoyed an iced cup of this today. I wish we could serve something like this at work instead of plain black iced tea. This has so much wonderful flavor!

Another iced tea for this evening. Forgot how much I enjoy this tea. Lovely tart and lime-y.

Bleah. Dislike. Raspberry kool-aid mixed with the flavor of melted crayons. I don’t think I need to elaborate further.

PS – Thanks Lisbet for the sample. :)

Well…. this one isn’t my favorite. It’s tart, but I just have a feeling it’d be better iced than it is hot. It’s doing that ‘hot jello-mix’ thing, but with some lime tartness. I kinda knew what to expect from a hibiscus tea, as I haven’t liked a single one I’ve tried, but because of the lime I was willing to give this once little shot (I weighed out 40cent sample of this stuff at the grocery store.) I’m not totally out of luck, as it’s still getting warm in TX as of mid-December, so….I can see making this iced in my near future. Yee-haw.

Trying another one of these. Didn’t like the last one because of the stevia ingredient but I bought this so I’m going to drink at least one glass of it.

Without any additional sweetener beyond the stevia that is already in it, I taste mostly just hibiscus with maybe a slight aftertaste of lime in it. The smell is really nice, I can definitely smell the lime there, but I mostly just taste hibiscus.

With a bit more sugar, the lime flavour comes out a bit more but so does the hibiscus also. If you are looking for a nice hibiscus tea, this is a good one, if you are looking for a lime tea, I’d look elsewhere.

Forgot I’d tasted this already and didn’t like it so I’m half way through a mug of it (2 bags to the big mug). The hibiscus is strong and tart and there is some lime flavour to this, but I stand by my previous statements.

Mental note: Don’t take sip immediately after eating apple cinnamon graham crackers. It’s not at all pleasant.

Lively and tart; you can definitely taste the lime. Republic of Tea has done a great job with this line. After the tangerine, this one’s my favorite. I brew for 10 minutes.

So I’m not completely out of this tea…I have a few bags here at work. I accidentally ended up brewing it for about 12 minutes. I know better than to not set an alarm. This doesn’t suffer from overbrewing, though.

When I got this out to make a small pot tonight, I went to pull out two bags. There were only 3 left. So having a slightly bigger pot, and have one less tea in my cupboard.

I love the key lime paired with the hibiscus. It’s sweet and not too tart. I’ll probably end up getting some more, but may end up getting the Vanilla Apple version first (since it’s the only one that I haven’t had).

I was on the RoT website and saw their new line of hibiscus tea so I decided I’d give it a try. I’ve never had hibiscus tea before, so I really have nothing to compare this with. The color of the tea comes out as a nice crimson and the smell is tangy with acidic undertones from the lime. I really enjoyed this one, and I think it would make a great iced tea, although I haven’t tried it yet. The taste is like a lime cider and it is very refreshing. One of my friends tried this as well and enjoyed it as well.

I thought this tea would be good iced, but so far this tea’s only been ok. I don’t like the stevia added; I want to be able to sweeten as I please and stevia isn’t my sweetener of choice.
