Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me this sampling. I haven’t tried it before!

This is a very unusual tasting tisane, and I’m not sure exactly yet what I really think about it… so I won’t rate it numerically until I am.

The wintergreen flavor makes this tea palatable, in my opinion. I am not particularly fond of hibiscus, and this blend is quite heavily laden with it, but the wintergreen with the hibiscus makes this a very unusual yet intriguing flavor. I can taste the woodsy note as well as the blueberry.

An interesting blend.

Edited to add: After the tea cooled to the point where I could drink it – I couldn’t. It really wasn’t very good… what demonstrated some promise in this tea was lost as the tea cooled off a bit. Not pleased with this one at all, and I couldn’t finish the cup.

This is probably the most complex tasting tea I have ever drank and if a tea can taste like a place this is it.

I can easily taste Blueberry, birch bark, wintergreen, cranberry and other true Maine flavors all mixed together. I know it doesn’t sound good but it is tea, it is supposed to taste good, and it does.

I wish they made this in teabags instead of just loose, also wish they sold this on their website but it is exclusive to some mail order house in Maine that charges waaaay to much for it.

I’m neutral on this tea. It’s a bit bitter and bitey for me – almost a gritty taste to it – but the scent is different and so is the blend. Kudos to TRoT for going against the grain and trying something different! I will say that at first sip you would think the aftertaste would be awful but it’s not that bad if you are a big picky aftertaste person that likes bitter fruity herbal teas this may be for you. Would prob be ok iced. I don’t care for it enough to go looking for it again, tho.

Blah. I know I said I was neutral on this like a year ago…but…nah…
