I found this in my mother’s cupboard, so I thought I would give it a try. Tastes like mulled cider lite, as if it were made with bottled apple juice rather than cider. Having said that, it tastes natural, if a little subdued, but then I don’t like it when herbal tisanes are over-spiced. A good drink when you come in from the cold, but then most hot teas are!

I purchased this tea this afternoon at Whole foods as I needed an additional caffeine free cup for the evenings. I agree with some of the previous tasters who stated that the flavor is delicate. However, after reading the notes I used two teabags instead of one in my mug. This helped the flavor be more robust. I really liked this as an evening sip. The apple flavor is subtle. It does NOT taste like apple cider exactly…but more like an apple wine? Not sure. I really like it though.

Drank this last night prior to falling asleep. As before, I used two teabags in my mug. It did not taste EXACTLY like apple cider, but it was close enough, sweet, apple-y and full of fall goodness. If you like apple cider and fall flavors and want a caffeine free herbal I really recommend this tea!

Nice, light taste. I leave the tea bag in for 20 mins or so and still find the flavour light. I was hoping it would be more sweet and apple tasting but it’s more cinnamon tasting with just a slight hint of apple. But this is a good alternative to my stronger flavoured teas, so it’s been nice to have.

I bought this tea because wanted a lighter, calorie-free alternative to real hot apple cider. I steep it for longer than the recommended 5-7 minutes and I usually get a stronger, more enjoyable infusion. The spices (cinnamon, cloves, ginger, etc.) are the dominant flavors while the fruity flavors from the apples and oranges are in the background.

This tea tastes as though it is just some mulling spices in a bag, and not in great quantity at that. There is no discernible apple flavor at all, and we suspected that this “tea” would be better if it were in fact brewed in boiling apple cider. But we never got to try that theory, and we all found this to be incredibly disappointing.

I was cold and so I broke out a tea that my parents had — an apple cider spice and was completely underwhelmed with this tea, even when adding sugar. Lame, would be a good word, because gee, I’ve had tastier water. I was hoping for something like Adagio’s Apple Canata, but alas, this was not to be.

Apples! And spices! Too bad Republic of Tea doesn’t offer this herbal tisane year round because it is absolutely lovely. A tasty apple and spice.

it smells like heaven but has almost no taste.

I’ve deeply enjoyed this tea in these early winter months… it surprised me, but unlike reviewers who went at it with cider in mind, I approached gently, within a ritual of mild evening tea, and so was surprised when this drink answered back with Cinnamon And Cloves! It works if you expect the smell to oversell the taste, which isn’t such a major adjustment with tea, I find.

It Requires Honey. No point in trying or even assessing it without. And I assume if you’re on this site, you pay attention to everything you add to your tea, and your honey is Good Tasty Stuff, because life is too short to buy mediocre honey. I’ve enjoyed this tea with both Wild Orange Blossom and Sage honey (on separate occasions, not mixed, heavens!). Highly recommended thus.

I like this tea, but it does not have the flavor of an apple cider tea I would expect. I first tried steeping it a little longer to see if that added more flavor, but that didn’t work either. After adding two bags to 8 oz of water and a tsp of honey it tasted great. I think they could have done a better job flavoring this tea. Maybe a little more “zing” to it to add that cider taste, so I can use only one bag instead of two.

This tea is fairly weak with only one teabag. May require 2-4 bags and perhaps a dash of cinnamon to obtain your desired flavor if you prefer a stronger, cider-like tea.

This was one of several teas by Republic of Teas that I purchased at a discount about a month ago. It has a rather weak spice taste and the apple is faint as well. Being that it is a tea and not actual apple cider, I still expected a strong spice taste. I would recommend adding extra cinnamon stick to steep and a little amount of sugar to complement the taste. I would not repurchase again.

This one is definitely on the disappointing side. No matter how long I steep it it is just too insipid. There is a hint of apples and spice, enough to make me want to drink something appley and spicy, but it just doesn’t deliver on its promise. It is not entirely flavorless, but far too mild to make me happy. I might eventually finish the canister, given that I’m on a diet and not drinking real apple cider much any more, but I would never buy this again.

Hmm, smells a little like apples. Unfortunately tastes a lot like heavily diluted apple juice. Blergh.

A great fall flavor for me. I’ve stockpiled about 3 tins of this because it gets rare during the winter, spring and summer months.

Like said before, it’s very subtle. Try it with honey with a long, long steeping time.

Learn from my mistake. Do not make it into an iced tea. You will regret it.
