Fruit Herbal Rooibos Blend by The Republic of Tea

Herb Tea for the Libido
YES! YES! YES! We all know that passion makes the world go ‘round. But we also know it ebbs and flows. So when you feel the need for a sensual nudge, make a date with this caffeine-free herbal blend. Crafted from organic rooibos, it includes exotic muira puama bark and ashwagandha root, both said to invigorate a lagging libido. And, we’ve added Peruvian maca root. Revered as an aphrodisiac, let’s just say it’s popular for stimulating sexual desires. On the lighter side, you’ll detect a flirty whiff of lemon verbena entwined with a duo of passionflower and passionfruit. So go ahead, light some candles, sip and get passionate.

Ingredients: Organic Rooibos (leaf), Muira Puama (part), Ashwagandha (root), Lemon Verbena (leaf), Hibiscus (flower), Maca (root), Passionflower (leaf), Stevia (leaf), Natural Passionfruit Flavor.

Another sample from AmazonV. Thanks for all the wonderful tastings to come and that I’ve had! I like trying these teas.

I was a bit skeptical about this tea, as most Rooibos teas I’ve had taste the same (berry and woodsy). This one quite surprised me, it has almost a tropical taste to it along with a sweeter undertone and something citrusy/lemony. This tea really makes me happy, I think it may be green rooibos (just due to the steep being more similar to a green tea than red rooibos I’ve had previously).

I didn’t brew this as strong as recommended. I did one bag to 12 oz boiling water and steeped for 7 minutes. I’m really enjoying this brew. I don’t know that it is making me more passionate, but this may be a reorder down the road for evening tea.

For a Rooibos, this tea is mellow. The Lemon Verbana and Passionfruit really help to bring the tea down to a nice place. It is a very bold and spicy tea. Spicy in the sense that it will take you a few sips to get use to it. Now, as for passion? I felt this tea makes you feel a little bit better about yourself after a few cups, but there was no signifigant change in my sex drive. Overall i’d say this was a nice tea for a summer afternoon.

AmazonV 4 tasting notes

Amount: 2 bags
Water: 12 ounces boiling
Steep Time: a little over 7 minutes
Served: Hot

Notes: adding wild huckleberry honey seems to bring out the ‘red’ flavor more and made it more enjoyable. overall a unremarkable tea

Smell: lemon / citrus and earthy
Flavor: lemon / citrus
Body: medium
Aftertaste: citrus

tried 3 bags, 12 ounces, 1 tsp german rock, 8 min – 2 bags is better

2 bags, honey, boiling water 7 minutes
it’s a fine red tea, but the hibiscus isn’t strong enough for me
and i was getting a weird minty flavor? usually it’s more of a lemony floral
resteep fail as usual

I really love this tea. I always add honey to my tea, so idk if that changes the tea too much.
I also keep my tea bag in for much too long cuz I always forget about it.

Mood: relaxed, warm, loving

This tea is very aromatic in a floral scent. For me, it smells quite feminine and makes me think I’m walking in a garden filled with flowers when I drink it.

I usually don’t like floral teas, but this one is an exception.
