Okay…I have decided I am going to do an infusion test today…
1st infusion…2 mins
Lighter Brown in color
The aroma isn’t as wormy/fishy as most pu-erhs and I am very happy about that!

Taste is VERY Velvety and smooth and lighter tasting with slightly earthy yet honey and cocoa type flavors mixed in too

1st infusion rating based on personal tastes 95 – I really liked the taste of this one on the first infusion.

4th infusion…4 minutes…
I could go on with more infusions with this one but have more tea to try so I will call it quits with this one…

Just as dark as the 3rd infusion…
Smells like black tea with a hay-like aroma as well
More woodsy-tasting and more malty. Less sweet but still velvety.

I would still say upper 80’s even with it being the 4th infusion!
Very Sturdy Tuocha!

I’d hate to give up on this one because I KNOW this will be good for more than 3 infusions! It’s not slowing down anytime soon! But I got an awesome package from Meghann today and I want to jump in…lol…

Anyhow…3rd infusion…4 minutes….
Even darker than the first two! Smells earthy but not wormy at all.
It’s a bit sweeter than the last infusion but there is a ricey-type taste hiding underneath this time. It’s interesting…the aftertaste is a little nutty but malty and more black tea/bold tasting.

This is one interesting ‘nest’
personal rating on this infusion about an 88-89 – still quite good!

2nd infusion…3 minutes

Much darker in color. A bit more earthy/wormy in aroma
The taste is a hint sweeter
Still quite velvety and smooth

I would say 90 or more for rating on this one…

Got this in Portland last year. A very durable tea. Strong on the caffeine levels, smooth on the acidity level. Perfect after a large breakfast. The digestive properties of pu-erh’s are very active in this one and the caffeine wakes you up. Brew it in boiling water for 2-4 minutes depending on how strong you want it. Starts getting watery after 4 steeps at that length.

had this with some chocolate chip cookies today. very complimentary.
