The famous Alishan High Mountain tea comes from the Alishan (阿里山) area in the mountains of Chiaya County,Taiwan. This particular tea is from the latest spring harvest – and has been hand-picked to ensure the best leaves and the consistent quality you’d expect from a premium oolong tea.

This is a perfect Taiwan oolong, smooth and buttery with a lovely floral aroma you can smell from some distance. A really good Taiwan oolong is my favourite sort of tea, and I think this might be the very best I’ve had. Fabulous, fabulous tea.

Muttering curses at hairdresser, who left me with a nice new haircut that’s totally NOT the nice new haircut I asked for. So I’m drowning my sorrows in the very last of my stash of this, which might just be my favourite tea of all.
