Vanilla Cinnamon Ceylon Orange Pekoe

Black Tea by The Tea Table

Our Vanilla Cinnamon Ceylon Tea OP (Orange Pekoe) is a mysterious blend, great for a relaxing evening. Vanilla and cinnamon comprise an exotic and ancient blend. Ancient Egyptians believed cinnamon to be a valuable commodity in the spiritual world and used it to purify the tombs of pharaohs. Vanilla, being native to Central America, is believed to have been first used by the Aztecs as an additive to chocolate. Celebrate the venerable history of each of these spices by brewing a pot of this magnificent tea. Taste how the sweet scent of cinnamon pairs beautifully with the vanilla. Enjoy it on its own or enhance the flavor with a dash of sugar or a splash of milk. Use one teaspoon per cup and steep 3-5 minutes in freshly boiled water.

This is super mellow. The cinnamon could definitely be stronger, in terms of both the dry leaf aroma and taste. However, it really smells of vanilla, and I’m even getting hints of cocoa. This is a rich black tea through and through, and the tea flavor is what really shines. I detect a tiiiny bit of bitterness & astringency, which becomes more apparent as I reach the bottom of my cup, but I actually find it quite pleasant.
