From The TeaCupany

Our chocolate chai tea starts with a nice Ceylon base tea then takes your taste buds for a ride by combining many of the most tantalizing flavors available in tea today. In this mix there are spicy hints of all the spices from a typical Masala Chai tea (which include cinnamon, ginger, and cloves) with the subtle notes of chocolate through the cup. This tea is taken to the next level by including some hot milk in the mix to further marry the flavors in your cup to create a creamy delight.

Best if steeped for 3 minutes at 212°

Ingredients: Black tea blended with cocoa nibs, natural chocolate flavors, ginger root, cinnamon bark, and natural cinnamon flavors.

Drinking some of this tonight. One would have thought that I’d had enough chai this weekend – I still have one to log and one I haven’t tried yet. Flavored chais are not part of that experiment, but wanted to compare this one to their spicy chai. I like this better.
The chocolate in this tea mutes the spices and it seems more balanced to me because of it. This still isn’t perfect for me, but is a very nice enjoyable cup of chai. (On the second steep, I added a splash of pumpkin syrup – THAT REALLY worked…)

Pumpkin syrup sounds really good in chai!

I have quite a few chais and quite a few pumpkin teas that are just so-so. I went and bought a bottle of pumpkin syrup – it really perks up those teas. :))

Good idea! :-)
